If BSG need money to fund development for one of my favorite games of all time I would be 100% willing to pay for a $5-$10 Monthly sub for no reason other than I want this game to continue improving. No expectation of baubles, trinkets, my name on some meaningless crap or even additional content as a reward for my patronage, I just want Tarkov to be the best most balanced game it can be. People pay that kind of money for content creators on Patreon all day every day and all they expect is a continuation of the creativity and entertainment they adore. We need to show Nikita and BSG that if they are willing to respect us we are willing to support and respect them.

Pve co-op is such a nice feature for those of us who dont have alot of time to play games, and with friends who are sort of intimidated by the whole pvp aspect of tarkov. I feel like they implemented this in the worst way possible. I wonder if they released pve co-op with a required 4.99$ per month membership to cover the new server costs, where only one person in your co-op group would need to have it, if reception would have been better. They may have even been able to make a bit of profit off the marigins. This would also fix the perceived "issue" of long-time EoD owners not putting money into the game several years after its alpha launch.

I'm willing to trade olive branches. The p2w stuff had me mad. The PvE mode was the line in the sand. If they're giving it out for free, I'm appreciative of that, and happy because I didnt expect it to come so soon. I'll still call it a gift, even though I expected it to come eventually. The mod support is definitely a pleasant surprise. I'll jump back in the game, since I already own it. They still aren't getting any additional money from me, nor am I recommending EFT to anyone, UNTIL: -PvE is fully available to the EOD community -The audio is fixed, actually fixed, where pop-ins no longer occur and vertical audio is clear/precise -Desync is addressed in a way that produces a significant improvement. If BSG can do these things, then I will be satisfied that they're worth my money and my recommendation. They dug a hole as far as good will's concerned, and even for a game that I love, this feels charitable.

@@eeeeeeee543 again, pay to win was a smaller issue than the PvE mode. It's also a moot point now that we're getting PvE, because I'm about done with PvP in Tarkov (besides Arena). You're right that it's been toeing the line since EOD was first implemented, I'm under no illusion that this came completely out of nowhere. It's been the discussion for years, and it's true that one reason people bought it was to gain an advantage over normal players (then, MOSTLY in terms of long-term resilience rather than direct action superiority). The stash spaces were more of the same in that regard. However, this new edition also seems to give much more competitive advantage than before, which is just one part of why I didn't like it. BUT, again, the hard-line issue for me was PvE. That issue is two-fold: First, giving it to EOD players is the correct move, and I'll take it even if it sucks they tried to scam us out of it. Second, all that pay-to-win stuff that I ~don't really like~ with ceases to have any relevance if I'm able to play in PvE; with the network issues and cheaters being the way they are, I would've been happy never seeing another player BEFORE the Unheard edition came out.

@@Swagmessiah8394 The weapons case is a little busted, but no the trader XP means nothing, you don't get a "shit ton" of meta ammo - it's 3 magazines worth per type and it's non-replenishable because you can't buy it early. It might be good for killing a couple people and then it's gone. Gamma has never been pay to win. I feel like you people have forgotten what actual P2W is. I think the ability to call in friends thing needs to be expanded upon, but the only people it's going to really benefit are content creators/streamers. I don't know how many strangers you add to your friends list, but I only play with a few people. I guess clan folks could use it too, but how many people actually play in clans in Tarkov? Now, if the beacon thing doesn't take into account whether or not the players being called in were previously in the party, then that might be kinda messed up because it functions as a respawn, which is not something I think the game should have. The counter to that, though, is that supposedly it emits a huge beacon of light and is VERY loud, so everyone on the map is going to know someone's using it, anyway.

We dont need to get consent from the people that paid for the unheard edition to change it, BSG should simply refund them, change the package deal and price to get rid of the pay to win aspect and have the price reflect that, and then reopen the store so people can buy it again if they want. A refund and redo of unheard is the only reasonable way forward.

I bought EoD edition in 2018. At this point, the only thing that would redeem them for me is if this mod support business leads to private servers and just open the game up. I think that's the best chance that EFT has at a second renaissance, pre or post 1.0. Why isn't PvE run locally? Why take on the cost of more servers for this? EOD owners already financed a second game that we didn't ask for. It's no wonder they need more money tbh, but idk how they could have handled this worse. This still feels like a scramble to me. It doesn't feel like they know what they're doing yet - they're just backpedaling furiously.

Hypothetically, if every EOD owner bought the new edition, they wouldn't have enough space to let everyone play, which is baffling to me but it is what it is.

I literally only bought it for the armband, PVE and cases, I have a job that consistently OTs me, they can literally take everything else away, take the guns, the ammo, the radio thingy, the skills, the extra fence rep, all of that, I don’t need it, I just wanted that extra little boost of the cases and I like armbands, I love collecting them, the armbands are like my crack, I have an unhealthy obsession with collecting them all. Hell if it made people happy they can take the edition away as long as they refund it, I understand why people are pissed, easily the most scummy thing BSG has ever done, like I said, I only bought it for the armband, PVE, and the cases, makes my life that little bit easier with work being the way it is for me, gotta get what little enjoyment I can get when I can.

after the leaked interview and their previous "apology" post, i think its obvious that we shouldnt be trusting bsg at their word. nikita honestly lacks a drop of remorse in the post and the fact they say they arent removing the friend summoner and in fact theyll be adding new things to the $250 version tells me there will probably be something worse coming.

No. You get a left behind key in compensation. Which almost equals the full amount of the cost to upgrade. So its almost a free upgrade with the purchase of a key. Not that we were trying to buy a key. But still its something.

As long as I don't lose the increased stash size kukri or armband I will be happy for any balancing changes,been with Tarkov since pre-med animations and unless they completely fuck it up I intend to stay

only way for them too fix this is too add everything in the unheard edition too Eod on top of the Eod perks or remove unheared all togheter and refund the ppl that bought it

This whole thing has been a mess, and i can not understand how all of this has happened, however, I think life it's too short not to forgive when someone makes a mistake. We are one rare comunity that for sure would have helped BSG if they told us they were in trouble financially,i am sure on this. We are also a comunity so tired of not get heard when we speak and so patient in order to get some breadcrums of updates and fixes and so on. I hope this never happens again. P.s the whole MOD thing is massive, so many people can make the game a lot better, if BSG is smart they can implement some of those mods in the main game, like the functional scopes in realism mod for SPT. Arma 3 did the same thing and brought to the main game some mods that people in the comunity have made. I am crossing my finger for this. And BSG, Nikita or anyone else from BSG, if you are reading this, if you make a god damn good game, people will buy it, go ask Larian studios if you doubt

idk if anyone has said this alr but I think that making eods get access to all DLCs and just giving the unheard buyers early access to DLC would be the way to go. also just give them a new case with the same size. Personally I don't care about the case that much but it did say that is was exclusive and people like to feel special.

I hope the mods support means that private servers will be a thing. I don't trust them to implement it in a good way. It will also make their servers be less crowded for that.

Even then it sorta just proved all the theories about cheating and streamer favoritism that we've all had discussions about for years now. But hey any press is good press right? I mean the amount of exposure outside of the hardcore circles is huge right now. At this point I'm starting to think this is planned in a way to make the community think that standard micro monetization was our idea.

Sorry we couldnt get away with changing the details of the EOD edition and trying to change the definition of DLC so anyone who didnt buy our new edition is locked out. They dont give a fuck about loyalty and were so ready to change the words on their previous statements, trying to go back and make changes to what they said without anyone knowing is so fucking shady there is no way I could ever trust anything they do again. This isnt just an error and they had no idea what they were doing, this was deliberate and are only sorry they got caught. So sad to see the true nature of these developers. Hopefully a new competitor comes out with a fanbase they wont betray.

I paid around 180ish so far for the game, EOD and the stash lines. I have 2550 hours. Well worth my money. That equates to .07 cents per hour, had I bought unheard, at 100 extra, it would increase that to .10 cents an hour. I was completely fine with that, but there were some shitty things in the package I didn't like. I didn't buy it. They are doing damage control because they fucked up and keep apparently fucking it up. I'll say this first, I love tarkov. Best map designers and animators in the industry. I support them with my money. I will buy unheard when it's fair. I have no problem supporting my favorite game. Mistakes were made. I'm not one to have never done that. When they make it right I'll buy it! It seems to be on the right track.

I'm kinda worried about all the "we will add mod support for PvE" like.. they cannot act like SPT don't exist, and since the PvE is only for EoD/unheard they remove all possibility for standard player to "have fun" with mods I'm also worried about the actual modding scene, modders will probably don't want to port the mods or make them all over again just because "bsg said it".. but let's be honest, if bsg allow mods they'll probably try to take legal action against SPT or smth so modders dont have much choice And finally i'm worrying about bsg trying to monetize the mods, since the pve mode can only be obtained with the unheard edition and cannot be obtained as a standalone DLC i would not be surprised if they add a 30$ dlc that would "allow" us to mod the game All of this wouldn't be a problem with most inde company, but bsg being bsg we really cannot know what they plan to do. I hope bsg will allow SPT to exists but... Yeah i'm not counting on it

They could remove the UE from sale. People who own it still get to keep it, it will be very rare so balancing it's stupid extras is less of an issue in the long term. Add the PvE mode for free to EoD owners and offer it as an add-on for everyone else for $20, and then make some sort of coherent cosmetic mtx strategy.

Guys, when I saw the new edition, my ooga booga brain said "oh, new edition, must buy" and i purchased it without even thinking about it. I didn't care what was in it, i just wanted to support BSG in developing one of my favorite games. If i read the description first, i would not have supported it and sadly, i cannot return my purchase.

The thing I have noticed in the last 5 days since all this started is everyone is mad that Tarkov changed from its original plan. Totally understand the frustration and disappointment being told one thing and getting something different. It's almost as if we were all children and our parents ts changed the rules. As a father of 2 kids I have no fucking time for standard Tarkov. The frustration from cheaters and other players is beyond annoying when I have 30-45 minutes to game every day or two. Skavs and bosses kill me enough to want and pay for a game that provides that. I'm also old enough to afford 250 dollars. I have much more expensive hobbies and the extra 100 bucks is just the same 100 bucks every other company is taking from us with out asking. It's two perspectives, I appreciate you being more objective and agree that you should feel a certain way and be pissed. Just feels like some woke soft BS that doesn't really matter. Buy it or don't, it's just a fucking game
