Word of the Buddha (Part 13) | Ajahn Brahm | 25 February 2024

Ajahn Brahm is taking a classic text compiled by the Venerable Nyanatiloka titled the “Word of the Buddha” which provides a staged summary of the Buddha Dhamma. But Ajahn Brahm is heavily revising the text to bring it up to date with contemporary English language usage.
Ajahn translates the pali sentence by sentence instead of word for word to make it powerful and accessible for us to understand.

Ajahn Brahm is at a new level. Always so helpful in past years, but profoundly powerful now. Just...different. I read in a footnote to old Chinese poet monks (Taoist) the Chinese considered every 7 yrs a phase of transformation. Age 70 they called "the age of enlightenment."
