Why would anybody be offended by this video? It simply demonstrates the power of landslides and how they should not be underestimated. Landslides are often brought on by earthquakes, floods and torrential rains but they are always a possibility in steep terrain with rocks that are weathering and eroding.. Deforestation increases the incidence of landslides as well.

So, those people that want us to believe nature is all warm and fuzzy should see this...nature gives exactly zero you-know-whats about us. These videos SHOULD be made, and not just for entertainment. There's a lot going on geologically in the world, and as far as infrastructure is concerned, these situations need to be taken into consideration. You've made a good compilation, thank you.

Thank you for not adding music and giving us the "pure" reality. Also thank you for the stills to give us an idea of the desaster "mountain coming to town...". However, if you add photos, please show them for 3 seconds, not for 2 next time. The brain needs 3 seconds to really capture the contents of an average picture. Of course I can use pause, but you could make the video more comfortable to watch and understand. Apart from that: Thank you for your effort and for some great entertaining and informative clips!

The road needs to go through. Thos that built the road knew this could happen, it is next to impossible to prevent it in all to many cases. The mountains have been crumbling for millions of years! For example, the Great Smokey Mountains are only the foot hills of one much. much greater mountain range that have crumpled and eroded away over millions of years long before humans walked the earth!

The end.

Last one is definitely a wet avalanche. I saw a big one happen from the road near Big Four Mountain in the state of Washington. It was one of the first warm days in May 2008. I swear there were boulders mixed in with the snow and water. I thought it was thunder at first, but then it got louder and louder and the ground started shaking. I wish I had a video camera with me. Plant timber bamboo in high risk areas. They have massive, webbed, root systems that are stronger than steel by weight without adding the weight of a steel grid. They grow quickly and spread even faster. This can help stabilize a slope until further measures can be taken.
@bradkrit8 жыл бұрын
+Robert Krause Dear sir, I am the president king of the countries in this video. We will now be planting timber bamboo on your recommendation. Thank you so much for saving our countries.
@justforever968 жыл бұрын
+Robert Krause If it's anything like the invasive bamboo-related stuff we have around here, if you introduce it into the ecosystem, it'll take over everything, and will be impossible to get rid of. People brought the stuff here as "decorative plants", and now if totally fills up massive areas and kills off the native plants.
@rdkuless8 жыл бұрын
+justforever96 Hello. That is a concern. Bamboo is in the grass family. There are over 2,000 varieties of bamboo across the world. It would take an evaluation of the slope, the soil, the climate, the native vegetation to determine the best variety for each situation. That is why you hire a bamboo specialist and incorporate root barriers to limit spread. I'm not recommending that anyone plant any kind of bamboo on any kind of slope. In the large ares where massive land slides occur, timber bamboo might be the best choice to stabilize the grade. A Landscape architect would be a good person to contact. The Corp of Engineers also have qualified people to determine the best way to keep erosion from happening.

The land sliding is a precursor to a bigger event of massive earth changes in gyroscope, pressure , and the mountains slipping and because of the tremors all over the world and that causes the dirt to let go and act like water seeking its lowest level . When GOD said place your self on the foundation rock out in the open so you don’t sink and slid down hill . Or get covered with the landslide from above. And GOD said not to hide under ground. How did he know way back then. GOD just does it is what He does is Great stuff and things and M. I. S. Power .🔯🕎🏹⚛️🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸🛸✝️✝️✝️✝️💻🌏🏔🌎⚖️⛰🎼🛰🤱🤰🏻🌑💻🛰🏹🚀⚛️🚀⚛️😇😎🎩✝️🇺🇸🌹🌹🌹🔯🇺🇸🇺🇸🐅🐅
