Over 35 years ago, a young priest, Father Barron, led me to my final decision to join the Catholic Church where we met weekly in the basement of St. Paul of the Cross Church in Park Ridge, IL, with other RCIA candidates. Fast forward 20 years to Ann Arbor, Michigan where my husband , me, and my young family first met Fr. Fessio and eventually he became a family friend and mentor to my then high-school -age children after we took the leap of faith and moved to Naples, FL, where we were part of the growing university families of Ave Maria University. What an absolute treat for me to see these two men who are so important to my (and my family's) Catholic life and spiritual journey sitting across from one another exchanging ideas- marvelous! We serve a GOOD GOD!

@@Eserr7856 just read a little the history of the Jesuits. They had an incredible story full of saints and good deeds. It is just since the 60’s and 70’s with a few exceptions, that they are the most “modern” arm of the church, with some really rotten apples.

A few years ago I was staying at a old backpackers in a small tourist town and as I was laying in bed, with the light on, watching TV, a black circular darkness popped up at the bottom of the bed. It grew larger and darker and the sense that I got was total doom and destruction and it felt like I had no hope at all. Something, a voice, a feeling, I can't really explain what it was but my being told me to call out "Jesus Christ save me". Just as this darkness was about to attack me I tried to say what I was being told to say and all I could get out was "Jesus" in desperation. Immediately this darkness was stopped from attacking me and it disappeared. It's true, calling out the name of Jesus can save you from anything- alien abduction, demonic entities, curses, witchcraft etc

Father Fessio I can give you a clue a Father for USA in southern part of USA and Mexico you can mention is Father Kino and his ministry and mission work was very vast expanding from Mexico to Texas to Arizona to New Mexico , sharing the word of God with Mexican national s with Native American s tribes in USA and with Mexican American communities with other cultures in those early 1800 s in our history . He left his presence known throughout this areas . The desert white Dove of the Desert Church in Tucson is called is actually San Xavier Catholic Church on Tohono Odtham Reservation in outskirts of City of Tucson. And also along the Kino road areas where he traveled little chapel s existed for small communities at that time . He is Historical documented in books for any of your references or resources for research as well as website in our modern 2024 Time. Just a little knowledge I wanted to share for others to know we have Theology Father Kino in USA . I believe originally from Spain Spanish Europe education in theology. Traditional teachings . Bilingual in Spanish and English and maybe other languages Latin most likely as well . Thank you for letting me share in your discussion in this video . I was a CCD instructor for third graders for First holy Communion classes in two different churches as I moved due to my employment location and my children school location . It was definitely a beautiful experience to teach religion education to these age students in their sacrament years. I was eager to share my religion with them by prayers and life experiences of how God helped me in my school studies and family life and prayers for people as I had a calling to be a lay Third Order Carmelite in my City in Tucson AZ. My call to pray . Yes I was very involved with the church . Since an early age . So sharing my Faith with my friends and family and then with the children really helped me reach out to their parents and guardian s as some lived with grandparents . And at that time had father's in war conflict in another country . So they enjoyed prayers so much. Even parents attended my classroom to learn what their children were so excited about learning about Jesus Christ life and prayers . And blessed Mother Mary prayers as well . As they learned about holy eucharist and Jesus Christ name and body and blood is real and so important for their spiritual Life. Yes a terrific time in my life . I had to work on weekends so I had to discontinued my CCD classes due to supporting my family as a single mother. . But I still continued with my prayers as God leads me .

Hmmm... A person can be a musician and not be a composer, but instead can be a performer. The performer can take the composer's work, interpret it, and play it so that many more people can experience it, learn from it, and be inspired by it. Yet a composer did not create the music, as the notes (intervals) and rhythms (timings) already pre-existed and can be identified mathematically. The composer's imagination and training (simply) discovers a pattern of notes and rhythms and writes it down. Yet both the composer and performer are musicians, and both are needed. Similarity, in theological circles, there seems to be 'composers', such as the three focused on in this dialogue, and the 'performers' referred to in the [US]. Yet both types are theologians, and both are needed by His Church..

To begin-it is already a thrill to anticipate any activity of Bsp. Barron whether it be a homily, a talk, a conversation, an interview because the very first impression, his being scholarly makes you feel, you are sure not a second is going to be wasted. But having another person with an impressive personal history of his journey to priesthood-wow, it was a treat there really is no price for, to get insights into the state of the catholic church at different times! This Bishop doed not fail to move me in different ways and to have a conversation with a priest with such an interesting background made it worthwhile to spend time with them! If I want to learn things about my faith, the catholic church, my personal relationship with God, no sweat, I look for Bishop Barron in Word on Fire or wherever he is "speaking." I was never disappointed because he always managed to reach the very core of my being. Thank you Lord for the gift of this person. You must be so very pleased with him because he has made you known and he continuosly taught us how to give glory to You!

I know this isn't really about de lubac or balthasar, but... the fact that neither of these 2 men has been been put on the fast track to sainthood and recognized as Doctors, given the shear imensity of their influence on post-concilliar theology , might be the biggest oversight of the 21st century. Rahner is the other obvious name, but his legacy has always been a bit more foggy than the other 2

Wow! We cannot evangelize unless we understand what fortifies our faith: a profound understanding of what we believe to be truth! I am a product of the dumb down period sadly after being enthralled with the hope and implications of Vatican 11: always saw it as an affirmation of Tradition (the inspired WORD OF GOD) combined with adaptability currently and for relevancy for generations to come. The laity and clerics need to be informed. We now see the Magisterium, the Pope, Catholic Social Teaching openly defiled. As a product of 16 years of Catholic Schools (Great Foundation of Love of Faith) I find the current status of some of the faithful very disturbing. Catholicism is not understood universally! How did that happen? Your World on Fire Presentation was marvelous! Watched the entire session! Virginia Vonhof

I remember seeing on TV Pope Benedict...coming off a plane to the USA...during President George W Bush's administration ...at the airport walking up and down..a walkway...and then kissing the ground of the USA...and, President Bush following him during his Walk with the then Pope...💖...good memory...😊Thanks, 🌈 Lisa in Florida

Evaluating and making a vow between 18-21 or so, of that magnitude, can’t be known and right for all men who take the vow at that age, who are still developing into adulthood. Many can’t possibly know who or what they want between 18-21. Some can! But I give a lot of grace to any Priest who changes their minds.

When Fr. Joseph mention Vatican II as disaster, bishop barren quickly responds with something positive. 😅 I guess he fears he will get “Strickland” liberals be watching him.
