Must say I am warming to Michael.... a little. I guess perhaps by age 5/6 I thought I knew better!. My only complaint with the way the BBC buggered this series up was the dramatic change in music for the iconic Magic Pencil.

I reckon Michael could have been as loved as Geoffrey from Rainbow by now... except he's competing in our memories with Sophie. Sophie will always win that battle. :-)

Hmm I respectfully disagree with you on Geoffrey Hayes he was a LEGEND!. I believe Michael went into theatre - Guys and Dolls etc. I don't recall him doing any other programmes for the young except this?. Correct me if I am wrong of course. Sophie!! you couldn't be more correct. Vicky - as the longest presenter was endearing but Sophie broke the mould for the show from 1992 Until 2001 we all loved her.
