These are the lyrics to the new song by Seether from their upcoming album Isolate and Medicate called Words As Weapons. To some people, this song sounds similar to the song Mad World, and I for one agree.

Each song can mean something different to each person and everyone is entitled to their own opinion but why does almost every video have to turn into a religious or political debate? It seems to me that on almost all videos I watch someone is picking the song/video to pieces. Just watch the video and listen to the music! ( And, it's not just Seether videos I'm talking about...it's all over KZbin.)

Transference. Some people get their own knickers up in a twist about everything, then want to blame everyone else because they have an uncomfortable wedgy. Perhaps that's why some people are so fond of going commando: they fear becoming a hateful, self-inflicted wedgy victim

Plz no negative judgements... I used to love this song so much growing up when i used to hear it on the radio all the time and i hadnt heard it for literally YEARS.. i literally had forgotten completely about its existence... Until november of last year (2020) which wasnt too long ago. Was on my way to jail in the back of a cop car & it made me so emotional idk why its just such a intense song such an amazing song so now it gives me hella chills when i hear it or even think about the song. But even with that said, i still love the song so much

My dad used to play this all the time when my family went on car trips, that was before I noticed that he was abusive. i was around 8 or 9 before I realised, I'm 15 now and my mum still plays this when we go on car trips it's really nostalgic and helps me forget about my dad and helps me focus on my current living situation. Me, my mum, my little sister, and now my mum's bf (whos really chill)

I never want to fade away. I want to live forever. That is a desire shared by most people. We want what we do to last and echo for eternity. It's exactly why I study History, to make sure people's spirits live on and their actions be remembered for us to learn from. This song also has a duality to it. while it wants to preserve it also wants to forget that itself exists. You can hear this is bass of the song. it is absolutely lovely. This song can hold many meanings other than this. The most obvious point you take from this song is the betrayal from a loved one.

One day soon, I’ll send this to my ex-husband. Words as weapon...he’s good at that. But he means nothing to me.

if he really means nothing then you wouldn't send it obviously he means something if you still feel the need to insult him lmao

I heard it as well, and I know there is somebody in this comment section that said that Seether ripped off the song, and to that person I say that's your opinion, but to me, Seether was inspired by a song like Mad World, and decided to add their own touch to it

The lyrics to this are so clear they ring in my ears like a bell. When you hurt by the one you love its beyond painful it feels like you're dying an excruciatingly torturous death that never ever stops. Like they just RIP your heart out of your chest while it's still beating n right b4 your eyes n they throw it down n stomp it right b4 your eyes n then you die only to come bk to life n live in that moment in a loop for all eternity.

Everyone assumes it has a specific meaning. My first reaction and still strongest feeling is that it's simply about anyone willing to put you down, or tells you that you cannot accomplish something because of who you are. He just wants to leave a word of hope in a world of darkness. That's my take; bring on the ridicule, haha.

I understand the lyrics can be very touching to ppls lives and alot of ppl can relate to what the song means in many situations in our lives but just enjoy the sound and feeling u get when u hear the music part of it and dont concentrate on just the lyrics and try to figure out what the song means....cuz it might mean something totally different to a listener versus the writer of the song....know what i mean
