Or, probably spent the whole night thinking “how can I get his attention as a heckler then say “hey we went to school together”” then realized the show was ending and just blurted that out without thinking then instantly regretted it. Her responses after were reminiscent of someone who just said something dumb, realized it, then spends the next 5 minutes clumsily fumbling over her own thoughts and words ever increasingly with each statement as embarrassment increased, and awkward tensions increased, and her brainpower continued decreasing as she just made it worse with every reply.

But no, he was a healthy, strong, resilient 6 year old cat who jumped into the cat door in the window, walked to where we were all sitting, yowling in pain, and collapsed. We of course went to the er and found out his abdomen had suddenly filled with blood. It was a rare and fatal condition. He somehow survived and it gave us a week with him at home to say goodbye. It was hard to put him down since he showed not very many signs of death at home: walking around, still walking around and going on walks with us outside, eating fine. But we knew at any moment it could happen again. It was hard.

Yeah I was actually expecting him to riff on that somehow. Like "and your girlfriend is OK with that? Wow. I thought my wife's ADHD was a challenge.... is she really your girlfriend? It's OK if she's your social worker. Out for an excursion. Good for you!" But I laughed at the "b1tch" line. Spicy!

I was away from my childhood home for the summer doing classes at university when my dog since I was 11 passed. She was somewhere between 12-14 (rescue, we didn't know for sure) so it wasn't unexpected, but her decline was sharp and I had been receiving updates from my family and been worried out of my mind for her. The last thing I had said to her was "don't you dare die before I can come back and properly say goodbye." Of my immediate family it hurt more for me because I had to watch her get put to rest from my phone on facetime - much like you with Stella. Sorry for your loss. Hope you're well, hope your stutter is staying right where it belongs - well within your control (and if not, best of luck working on it again) - and hope to see more comedy & clips coming from you whenever you can.

I still think of Stella. We loved watching her. She was a sweetheart. Thanks for sharing her with us Drew. I mean that. My hubby and I fell in love with a dog we only knew through videos. Our hearts broke for you and many tears were shed from random strangers on her behalf. Empathy is bittersweet and we too have had to say goodbye to our favorite four-legged friend just a few months ago. I’m sure our Momo is up there running around with Stella right now I appreciate your, authenticity and being open and vulnerable and emotional about it. We need more of that. We need people who are real and share hard things and show that things, but we are strong and we can support each other from distance even through something like a KZbin video. FYI - my husband and I have been watching since the first moment you stepped on that stage with America’s got talent, and we are still fans. We haven’t had the chance to see you live yet, but that’s definitely on our list. We’re super proud of you! 🥳🥳🥳

Dearest Drew and wife, I’m so sorry for your loss and the way she passed. I feel for you people because I can understand how it is not to be there, to hold her, it’s absolutely traumatizing. Our Chief passed during COVID so we weren’t allowed to be there with him either, That’s heartbreaking! But I believe that Stella is under the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge, playing with our Chief and many, many other furry darlings. They’re all playing there, passing the time, waiting for us to arrive and when we get there they will run up to us and we will cross the bridge together, never to be parted again. And you know what? I’m convinced that our Chief will look after her as a real gentleman until you guys arrive. I know that the grief and the pain never go away but still I hope that I could offer you some comfort or support. I wish you both well and please keep up the good work.

When I was 18 I went out of town for work. A couple weeks in I got a FaceTime call from my parents and during that call my dog died. He didn’t have any serious problems that we were aware of but we knew he was getting old. I understand how much that hurts to not be there for them when they pass. That was 3 years ago now and I still cry when I think about it.

I lost 2 dogs in the last 4 years. This is why I feel so guilty about leaving my two dogs I have left. I was the one who found them as they were hanging on to life. I was the one holding them and petting them as they were put down. I have not been able to move out of my mom’s house for a few reasons. Money problems is one reason, but the other two dogs are the other reason. I don’t want them to be alone when they are near the end. I need to be there for them because no one else seems to care as much. I can’t leave this house unless I take those dogs with me, or until I watch them pass.
