Work Environment Policy and Procedures

A work environment policy should be developed to outline the employer's overall objectives, intentions, and means for the long-term work concerning the work environment. It should be a document that describes how we want things to be and how we will achieve that. Procedures need to exist for all the different activities in the systematic work environment management (SAM), and it is important that these procedures are connected to other routines and activities in the organization and that they can be coordinated with them.
