And the fact is that plenty of celebrities do this stuff gratis-no cash transaction necessary-because they're fans of a show. Offering money is hardly guarantee, either; no way does an animated series like Bob's Burgers have a significant enough budget to make $ the deciding factor for a performer as wealthy as Carly Simon. (Her net worth is $50 fucking million.) Even celebrities of modest means (relative to Ms. Simon) aren't necessarily going to agree to a role just because enough money is thrown their way. Some do, sure, but others are more concerned about artistic integrity or the effect it might have on future earning potential. And, yeah, the capitalist reference is just fucking random. Again, I'm not sure if this is an attempt at humor or a critique or some equally ineffective combination of the two. If it *is* a critique, I mean, capitalism is the reason the show exists, KZbin exists, and the phone or computer you're reading this on exists. So... good one?
