Except for the Origin version (which is technically a different mobile suit anyway) I still think this is the best looking version of the RX-78. I know a lot of people say the the 3.0 made this one redundant but I just find it to be far too busy looking for such a simple design..

I really love this. The blue pre-shading on the red parts was really successful, and I'm tempted to try it sometime. The overall faded look of the colors definitely makes it look more believable than the traditional scheme. I actually like the subtlety of the panel lines. I think with the faded colors, bold panel lines would look less realistic. The whole kit looks like it's standing in harsh desert sunlight, or something. Heading over to the photoshoot video now!

This looks so nice! I think the very subtle weathering is perfect and I like that the panel lines aren't overwhelmingly stark. I know this kit has a ton of panel lines and details, so the subdued wash was a good choice. Excellent build!

comparing to the animated version, PS2 version color scheme is way better, I really like that ivory white. OYW production line probably is the last one in MG history that still comes with screws and metal parts

Hey vegeta, i just got this kit and the package was destroyed, some of beam rifle was snapped but still easy to salvage, biggest issue is the bit that goes inside the head for the faceplate to plug into and stickers go on is missing since the runner in question was fucked, any good way to fix it without having to get another MG head or the transparent bit from it?
