How do I get Creo-Solidworks collaboration license? It's showing this error: License for ATB SolidWorks is not available whenever I try to import a Solidworks file in Creo (5.0 trial version)

It is a cool feature but only works if you have a computer with high specs. if you need to modify a big model it requires a lot of processing power. A normal PC can not handle it. And it sucks. I have T1000 VIDEO CARD, I7 9TH GEN PROCESSOR AND 32 OF RAM DDR5.

Hi..Nice video.. Can we also edit an STL file with the same procedure?

Flexible Modeling won't work on STL files. Other files (CAD native, IGES, or STEP) all have surfaces built up from lines and arcs that flex modeling can recognize/interpret and edit. STL on the other hand doesn't have surfaces but rather facets built up from tessellation and can't be manipulated in the same way. Sorry!

Hi Aarjav, Editing STL files in general, is not something that is typically done. The reason is that the STL file translation process approximates the geometry from the original model. What happens in the translation process is a subdivision into triangular patches. There are no features to edit or modify. There are some options that can be set to control the size and aspect ratio of the tessellations in the STL file. Additionally, PTC does have a module, Reverse Engineering Extension, that can be used to create new surface features by referencing the STL tessellated model. The process involves creating a collection of surfaces, trimming / extending those surfaces, merging the resulting surfaces into an enclosed quilt, and finally solidifying the model. In short, it is possible to work with the stl models, but there is no ‘Easy Button’. Hope this helps clarify.
