Never been more happy to be a single, mature, female traveler. I do not drink, never have really. Nor do i need someone to tell me i am good enough or loved. I move alone but never lonely or bored. I paint, i write, i witness. I carry my loved ones with me. I look for joy and a place to swim…. Search yourself, you’ve got all you need, look deeply to find yourself.

Very inspirational! I did retire August 1 since August 1 I’m staying with the commitment of losing weight after I retired ! It can be done in 22 tent pounds down 21 to go! I’m feeling good except for my back has been bothering me since I lost weight now I need to work on my core. Was thinking about heading to Pattaya area was thinking about staying about 20 miles north. But I would definitely like to find a place with a good gym nearby or in the building so I’m thinking about one of these high-rise places and just pay a little extra. To have all the amenities. I’m glad I found your channel !!! I just did 35 years as a heavy equipment operator. Now it’s time to get away from the bosses!!! I started commenting before I even finished the video. I feel even better about it now thanks. I appreciate it. A lot of these thoughts have gone through my head. I’ve just never organized them like you did in this video. Good job very much appreciated !!!

@25:52... HOW to begin to build a positive, healthy narrative of oneself after enduring a financial wipeout or character assassination or an orchestrated cabal to destroy you when admittedly you made some small missteps but nothing as one might be painted? I've seen others totally gloss over the ugly truth and it's not honest or authentic. Sounds ridiculous to you readers but how to begin to rebuild a healthy version of one's life? Great video! So glad I found you. Thanks for my rambling but the first steps on a rebuild are quite uncertain.

Great advice. My own experience echoes your advice. I started traveling as I started healing and that was what I needed. I was miserable and very focused on the negative - didn't help having a manager, friends, family, and whole culture rubbing negativity in my face constantly. I found gratitude as I started exploring other places and getting away. And I eventually cut all the toxicity out of my life and moved on. I will live and die happy before I ever go back to a desperate fate worse than death. Thank you.

There is a related point, which is, don't get stuck in the doldrums. (A catch phrase I recall from The Electric Company's Letterman or whatever.) It's easy, in your home location, to get lulled into complacency and routine - the doldrums. So for that, breaking away and changing your environment could just be what is needed.

Good advice on the in room workout. Take a bungee cord & tie it to the doorknob. When i used to travel some in Europe i would buy some bread at a good bakery, buy some sardines, bagged vegetables, yogurts, cereal and boxed milk as you did and just eat in my room. More healthy and cheap. Very good advice on staying safe. Trust no one, at least for a while.

Lately ive been very unhappy with living in New York and think about Thailand all the time. Ive been twice. Since i came back from Thailand in January ive been obsessing about moving and only thinking of the future. Ive been miserable in my day to day life but i know that happiness comes from within and that comparing will only rob me of my joy. You've provided me great wisdom and a great perspective and I thank you very much for that. This video is just what i needed for how ive been feeling lately. I hope you get to read this comment. Your videos are very well done, I've been binge watching them. You have a great demeanor and attitude. Hopefully we can even meet when my wife and I return in October of next year! I cant wait for us to move there, i love Thailand and am excited to settle down there when we are ready. For now we have some work to do but working towards our goal every day, and i will continue to practice gratitude and take your advice. THANKS AGAIN FROM NY KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

Boredom is a real concern. I started traveling 1 month per year in 2015 because the US has become a dead end. Quit dating 10 years ago as that is a waste of time, no friends, little family, only thing is work. Unfortunately, I notice I always develop boredom during my holidays. Today, on holiday, I woke up at 0600 went to the breakfast buffet, then showered, went to the gym, got some lunch, then went out to a high end massage parlor. It's just too hot this time of year in Thailand to do much after lunch. Then slept until 2300 and went out for a couple of slices of pizza. That is not a smart way to live when retired. I blew a bunch of money because I couldn't think of anything to do. I'm almost excited to get back to the US next week and work. I hate my job, but it keeps me busy.

👍🏼👍🏼 Getting this far in life…the mindset of the needs & the wants really change, IF we pay attention to it; how some/most things evolve. For me, minimalizing & living down to the simple/basic needs is an easier feat for men than women, but it can be done. I’m most certain that most of your subscribers who are very inspired by your journeys are men. How you share your thoughts/ideas/suggestions without reservations coming from your heart, I wish all the best to those who heed your examples, may you all find along the way…that after all is said & done, you will find the most liberating feeling…”Peace of Mind.” Good luck in your travels/ journeys, your quest for your life’s contentment. 🌺Aloha🤙🏼

Great tips as always for sharing this to other travelers. Budgeting your financial requires commitment and disciplines to achieve our financial freedom. There are no taxes on our capital gain for less than $500K from our home after we sold it. Also invest as early as possible for our retirement accounts like 401K and IRA / Roth accounts. If you decided to stop working at 55 and to take an early withdrawal from your 401K, there is no early penalty withdrawal. After our retirement, we need to downsize everything and to eliminate all unnecessary expenses. As we are aging and to retire abroad, choose our medical insurance carefully and always have our emergency cash online ready available when in need like Schwab Bank without any ATM service charges. Sharing is caring as life is short to do the things we don't love doing. Enjoy your retirement and happy travels!
