It's an awesome piece to have in the collection and everyone should have one...ceramic hones are highly underrated too...you really don't need much more that that to touch up an edge for an average user...

It really is! I also have some ceramic rods, and I use them for touch ups. Works great!

I have one of those, and it’s a very well thought out design. I take it with me when traveling but otherwise don’t really use it at home because I freehand with a full-size diamond plate. I think they make good gifts for people who always seem to have a dull knife & don’t know how to sharpen.

In the little compartment I store extra green compound, some metal with sharp 90* to scrape the strop, and an eraser for cleaning the diamond and ceramic.

Good stuff, man. My preferred portable trumpeting solution are some credit card sized diamond stones. Then go into my general EDC pouch. I sharpened a small fixed plate on them. I've got it back too serviceable. I could see how this would also be a really great option.

Spray the blade with Goo Gone & wipe it down. It does a fantastic job of cleaning off all the sticky tape residue. Makes the blade beautiful. 😎👍

Never seen a need for a field sharpener if I carry a backup knife. If I screw up two edges before the time I get back home I'm doing something wrong.. I have a field sharpener but have never needed it. If I was cutting carpet or something burning through edges that fast I should be using a utility knife with a razor blade
