I’m a political science student and I was actually doing a semester abroad in south of France these last few months and going back to Canada in two weeks! I still have a master to complete! You have really inspired me to chose a future job that fits my values and where I can truly have fun and not only work 24/7. Thank you for your videos❤️

2024 was such a turning point for me in corporate. In previous roles at other companies I was miserable, and I ended up looking for a new role elsewhere. This year I finally found the right role and I really do enjoy it! I can see myself staying with the company for the remainder of my working career. At my company we have unlimited PTO and that is something I really value because I can take days off as needed and take time off for vacations to travel, which is a passion of mine. I finally have true work life balance, and I wouldn't trade that for anything.

That makes me so happy, I feel the same 🥹 having a job and team and company that I can see myself growing in is so important. I’m so happy you’re happy 💗

Also my 5th or 6th year working in corporate! (if you count internships). I have kept my goal of not downloading work apps on my phone! I’m in HR, this year I left a toxic job and found a new one which isn’t perfect, so I’v really had to let go of the “perfect/dream job” idea in my head and just remember what I am grateful for when it comes to my job: a steady income, the feeling of independence I get from being able to provide for me, my husband, and dog, and having autonomy. Having hobbies outside of work (i do jiu jitsu) has also tremendously helped me get through the year!

YESS sometimes our definition of a perfect job is one that allows us a life outside of it… I’m happy you got a new job and are liking it more and can spend time on hobbies 💗

your videos are just really good and I like hearing you talk about corporate! I started a masters degree this year and I think what I am learning is that I can adapt and that I can face harder challenges. It also also helped me realise that I do love education and that in whatever job I will do next year I want to make sure that I still learn things

7:02 the fact that you’re thinking about these things already, i think you’ll be great in a leadership role! 🥰 Your manager can seriously make or break your corporate experience - and in my case, having had a few bad and/or toxic managers led me to “dropping out” of corporate unfortunately xx

When I reflect on my work year, I think about the word transformative( that was my word for the year at work) I work in PR specifically tech PR so it’s been a year - had some highs had some lows, but I think I’m very proud of myself for learning what rest looks like year the second half of the year! But next year, I am prioritizing flow and balance! Especially when it comes to not overworking or feel obligated as like a coordinator to get everything done the same day 🙌🏾 Thank you for work to live diaries this year, been watching for the last few years and the transformation you have done this year Jenna is amazing 🥹 Happy holidays and make sure you rest the last two weeks of the year 💛

I’m glad you had a good work year in 2024, Jenna. ☺️ 2024 celebrated my first year at a new company as an Assistant Program Manager for a day service for adults with disabilities. I loved meeting the clients and staff and learning more hands on management skills. This role is more management than I had previously so I am grateful to learn new skills. ☺️ Also 2024 is my 10th year in the nonprofit sector as I worked as an aide and also an assistant manager at other agencies. Can’t believe it! 😳 I wouldn’t change it for the world though because I love my job and my sector. ☺️

My work life has been interesting. I travel a ton for work (at least 2 weeks out of the month), and it’s totally been very rewarding. But this is my third year, and I’m over it. I learned I do not like turning my hobbies into work. As someone who likes to travel, I’ve found it hard to get excited about personal vacations because I’m constantly traveling for work. Currently in the process of changing projects, and I can’t wait.

This year was the year where I realized how much I appreciate my job. I never saw myself as a desk job kind of person but I lucked out with a good job that gives me flexibility and I'm trusted to do my job without feeling micromanaged. So it's been a nice shift in my mentality! Sure there's still tough days but it could be worse lol

Jenna! I love this vlog! I feel as if this year was challenging for me too but going into the 2nd year at a new corporate company I finally found my"groove". I can totally agree that when things have become tough at work I'm always ready to leave my job too! Lol 😅 the one thing I got from your video is that I need to be taking more breaks....I just work straight through! Something positive that I have done this year is sign up for more projects to begin to get noticed by leadership for promotions!

Hey Jenna! I really love your content and you’ve actually inspired me to check my goals on where I want to be with my career. I work in Hampton Roads, Virginia and I’ll say that I do absolutely love my job, but it still feels like I’m struggling to maintain a barrier between my personal and professional life. With that being said, I’ve made a plan to move to Arlington or Alexandria and try my luck at a federal position up there by summer 2026. I’m curious about any life advice you may be willing to offer about your career and life balance when it comes to living in DC. I’m really looking for a life where I’m not nearly dependent on my car as I am living here and so far Pentagon City and Old Town Alexandria have really caught my eyes. I love watching your journey and I appreciate that you’re willing to share it with us viewers. ☺️💙

This month I hit the 10 year mark working and I'm now ready to move on, I'm going to resign to become a full time student again (second degree). I really need a change in my life, even though I wouldn't quit for that I'd do it to switch companies. And before someone mentions the job market, I'm not from the US.
