GREAT VIDEO! Would you be willing to share the actual backspacing of the wheels and explain how to roll the fender lips? Again, great video, good content, to the point, and edited where it needs to be to save time but then quick recap of what was done. (i.e. rear c-notch) TRUCK IS SPOT ON AND CLEAN!
@AZProPerformance
@AZProPerformance 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The backspace can be found on our website as they are 1-piece off the shelf wheels. azproperformance.com/products/american-racing-vn215-torq-thrust-1-pc When we rolled the fenders, we just hit them in with a soft hammer (but firm enough to roll the metal). Just work them in. As a tip, DO NOT cut relief cuts in the lip. This will make a crease on the outside when you roll them.

You can still haul stuff, but its limited due to the rear end travel. However, if you added helper bags, it should retain all factory payload and tow just fine. We didn;t add them since we never planned to tow with it (we have a F350 for that).

I never really been a fan of 20 inch wheels on these OBS Chevrolets. I like the 18 inch wheels better. I see y'all ran 40 series tires. Would it look better with 45 series tires? Give it a little bit more meat on those sidewalls. I don't want anything too low of a profile. Don't get me wrong. I like the 40 series sidewalls, but I wonder how it would look with 45 series sidewalls.

Did I miss the run by run brake test data? Does this mean that the brake kit offers a huge improvement if you autocross, but little or none if your concern is a panic stop on cold brakes?
@AZProPerformance
@AZProPerformance 3 жыл бұрын
The brakes improve stopping distance by 160 ft. from 90-0, so you an imagine even a 60-0 will be a huge improvement! The brakes will come to temp from normal driving and by no means are terrible around town. In general, brakes improve as they heat up, to a certain point of course. In normal driving, your brakes are heated up within minutes.... they are never "cold" just driving around as normal. Hope this info helps.

Ls.swapped.2dr I hear you about being on a budget. I wouldn’t mind swapping my tbi 350 but LS engine prices have gone up. Currently getting a price for a swap, may be cheaper to go vortec heads, mild cam, intake manifold, 4 barrel TBI, and full exhaust. Especially since my engine has 130k and doesn’t leak or burn oil. I am worried about the 4l60e being able to hold up to the 75% power increase though.
