WORK VAN STORAGE IDEAS racking out my van

Here are my work van storage ideas. My van is a ford transit custom.Everyone will want or need different things but I'm sure there will be something of interest for any trade. That's the problem with our trade next day different job from grass cutting to landscaping to fencing always need different tools every day makes the van a night mare to shelve out great video as always 👍

Absolutely...meant to say also...shelf is not fixed so it can be lifted out for anything like a cement mixer or Billy goat 👍👍

A nice job Lee. Maybe a couple of dividers in the draw in case the bits and bobs bunch up as you slide the draw in and out. It might prevent it jamming up in the future.

This is my world every sunday afternoon after a week on the tools. Saturday afternoon after work everything gets chucked in the back and sorted when I can be bothered on Sunday. Would love a LWB wagon, as my SWB is a ball ache really. Good video. Some good ideas there.

There’s no easy answer. (As usual) I find it’s not that easy to predict what you will or will not want for a days work . Quite often the client will say something like “ Oh and while you’re here could you just cut that branch down?” And if you turn round and say “No, I only came here to cut your lawn .” It makes you look like a bit of a lightweight , and you are less likely to get asked back or recommended . Also for me personally there seems to be a god of mischief up there that watches over me all the time and if I leave a particular tool behind , will make sure it’s the very thing I need as soon as I start work . Honestly, this has happened so many times to me it is really spooky!! So now I do pretty much what Lee is doing now , only in a slightly smaller van , and , no it’s not that easy but I ‘m sure it’s what is best in my situation

Rich Smith nothing wrong with that, Rich, I drove a Renault Kangoo for years and made a living . Now I have a VW Caddy and it’s all I need . If you do what Lee is doing and plan your storage space wisely you can get away with running a smaller van and keeping your costs down which in my humble opinion is what anyone in the gardening business should aim for

Unfortunately my van is quite small and I have two side doors, which constricts me some what with regards to shelving. It does have it's benefits but a lot of space is wasted. Been scratching my as what to do, a new van is an option but as you know, not a cheap one! 😂

😄😄funny you should say that about 2 side doors ...that is what I was going for because I found the 1 was a pain ...but I changed my mind and racked it out as you can see to get the best benefits from 1 door....saving me 25 grand 🤣🤣 best of luck solving it buddy 👌

I'm considering vauxhal vivaro or Renault traffic. Is that smaller than your van would be carrying same tools as you, possibly tow a tipping trailer. My 2002 ranger showing its age now.
