Nice vid as always! Did you get a pay bump with the title bump? Also, does your company use a third party for ar/collection calls?
@rylieconstance5 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! Yes, I did get a raise which is always nice. And no, right now we have team coordinators who work under our estimators and the collection emails/calls are their responsibility. And then I meet with the teams once per week to see which jobs we think we'll be able to collect on and file liens, send collection letters, process payments, etc. But we are currently working on finding a better process for our AR because it's very time consuming for the teams
@tr3b0r1235 ай бұрын
@@rylieconstance congrats on the raise! Thanks for the detailed response. I'm crossing my fingers for you that you don't have to stay so late in the future anymore. One more question. Did you find this new job on indeed, LinkedIn, etc?

Nice video! can you make a video with more details about the processes involved working in fixed assets? I'd think that after you get the asset listing from the tax accountant, you'll determined which ones need to be capitalized and their respective lives, and enter that information in the fixed assets software. However, there are probably more details involved in the process, like how do you determine which assets need to be capitalized, maybe you have a dollar threshold, and how do you assigned useful lives to those assets, do you go by IRS depreciation tables or do you have a company policy. In the future, how can you ensure that asset purchases will be entered into the FA system.

Yes absolutely! I'd love to provide more specific details about my job , especially relating to fixed assets

I thought you go to senior accountant then manager then controller
@rylieconstance4 ай бұрын
I think it depends on the size of the company but yes you're definitely right. I've been at larger companies where there is a lot more hierarchy
@AjBarca4 ай бұрын
She is right, some company controllers are the only accountant in the department so they do all of the duties so it depends on the company.

Are you a CPA?

No, I worked in public accounting for 1 year and then left so I never got my CPA
