A first video with audio commentary for me... so please bear with me.
After replacing the aging Arduino Uno for a Teensy 4.1 grblHAL controller I started working on basic automatisation so that spindle, compressor, mist, etc. can be controlled via software and G/M codes automatically when running a job. Needed some adjustments to the Autodesks postprocessor, but it was much easier than expected.
I know it looks like one big mess of wires, some some cleanup needs to be done, but it seems to be working fine.

hey quick question. I am having trouble with my setup. When I move one axis, all motor move at the same time. The motors and drivers work since I had them running prior to upgrading to the Teensy 4.1 and BoB. I am new to this card, so any help would be great! Thanks.

Must be a wiring (or soldering as the board needs some assembly) or software issue I guess. I don't use that controller anymore so can't check my settings. BTW did you flash the latest grblhal build on the Teensy board?

@@crabsshed yes, used everything on their site. All wiring is new, all elements have been correctly soldered.

Looking great! I have a similar controller setup using the same grblhal teensy breakout. For the solenoids and relays are you using 5 volt or 12 volt? I made my diy relay box using 5 volt relays but it doesn't seem like 5 volt is not very common for air solenoids. Would be nice to have the mist turn off automatically instead of raising up and blowing chips everywhere when complete. Also notice you're using bcnc. Why not use iosender that's made for grblhal and has all the added features and settings for grblhal?

Thank you Jim. I really like the board, works like a charm and looking back I can't really say why I hesitated so long with the upgrade. As for the relays, 5V is used for logic - turn on/off the relays as I had a couple of 5V Arduino relay boards in the drawer. The solenoids themselves are powered from a 12V PSU and spindle/compressor from 230V mains. I also modified the Fusion GRBL postprocessor to turn on/off required relays on start and finish of the operation, and it is really great help and makes things easier. I've been using bCNC for like 5 years now so I am really used to it, but I do have the IOsender installed and use it from time to time, but I got a couple of suggestions for Terje, just need to use it a bit more and write everything down before I send it his way. For example the small and non scalable GUI is not that good for me on a touch screen LCD. Or the probing tab could be a bit better / more user friendly. But overall it does work great, just needs a bit more polish ;)
