Where SCI-FI meets REALITY - The Leopard 2 A7+ from MENG in 1/35 - Building and Improving the model

In this latest build series I look at one of the coolest looking, modern tanks (well at least in my opinion), the Leopard 2 A7+. The spaced, bulky armour additions on this version of the tank really give it a sci-fi look. The brief for the A7+ was to be effective in an urban setting, with lends itself perfectly into a digital, geometric camouflage pattern I am planning on painting.
The MENG kit was reasonably simple to build, but a few simple upgrades and preparation prior to painting should help you upgrade your own model.

How do you know which bits need to be painted before instalijg and which bits need sub assembly it always confuses me

Guess it comes down to experience and planning. When applying masks I’m trying to keep the surfaces as flat as I can do they sit correctly. But each build is different and every modeller approaches it differently. Just have a go and you will develop your own style 💪🍀☝️
