@Zergling-iq9hm you're both wrong, it was Sjow who came up with it and from there it spread to the rest of the european pro scene. someone then went on one of the old talk shows (maybe state of the game) and used the term, which is where artosis picked it up from.

a long while ago i had a somewhat successful (~70% winrate) drone-only rush in zvt on small maps, though this was in diamond. basically every terran would go for reaper openings, and i found a timing where i arrived with my drones just as the terran was building a refinery and a barracks, which gave me a numbers advantage in the straight-up fight. of course the terran could just regroup with all scvs and then i was screwed, but again, diamond ;)

I'd argue BW SCV rushes were even more devastating because of the health they had. 60 HP was a lot.

"Pulling the boys" is a last ditch effort. There is no way to know who pulled the first boys. SCV's are great meat shields in a pitch and can repair!
