I'm never using Hitfilm again, for some reason I decided to try their newest version and this video took 3 hours to render as opposed to Vegas's 15 minutes. CHECK OUT THE DISCORD ANYWAYS! discord.gg/nerf

To explain the O-ring issue you were having: Worker's replacement LS plunge tube and the O-rings that come with their metal plunger head and sealed breech kit are not compatible by default. The Worker tube is larger than the stock LS plunger tube by about a millimetre, but the O-rings are designed to stock tube size. When I was building my Longshot first with the Worker tube, I just could not get the seal to be good no matter what I did or how much teflon tape I used. Swapped it out for a stock LS plunger tube, instant seal and performance improvement. Went from "sometimes doesn't fire at all, sometimes fires as well as 220fps" up to "solid 230-250fps". Also, you mentioned using Super Lube on this? Probably a bad idea, most Super Lube products are silicone based, and unlike almost all O-rings used in Nerf, the translucent O-rings that Worker use in this kit are silicone rubber. Silicone bonds to silicone, so the lube and the O-ring will combine into a goopy, sticky mess. I recommend getting a tube of some different, PTFE non-silicone lube for kits like this. Inox MX6 works great for me, but they're an Aussie company so may be hard to find in the US.

16:42 I dunno man, you've already listed a fairly massive fault, one that lead to most of it's other faults, the flimsy flexible plastic shell. The metal internals are wasted by the plastic frame and grip not being able to handle the stress of the spring load they benefit most from. Since you can't put big spring loads on it, you can't run full-length darts in with the included barrel type. As you mentioned, the construction is poor, leading to flex and a high potential for it to chip badly or even shatter if dropped. And to add insult to the injury, poor manufacturing tolerances mean the plunger assembly isn't holding the air pressure it should, further cheapening the overall experience for a $200 blaster.

I think this could be an awesome blaster. I would say your on point with the pricing. I would love to have one in my arsenal yet the price point. I saw in the comments a guy complaining about katana or talon adaptors not being able to work because of the mag realse. With I know u can leave the lever out . I think u even mention that not sure.. but people always got to complain about something. Keep up the hard work. Video was very informative. You create awesome informative content
@rokushou5 жыл бұрын
Having handled one, I think the Terminator is the worst longshot shell. The grip is uncomfortable, the prime is harder than it needs to be due to the torque forces involved, and the extended mag release is a detriment given these are intended to use half darts (read: talons). The mag release makes katana adapters and most 3D printed adapters impossible to use due to it blocking the adapter's release. The magwell design also makes reloading full size mags more difficult due to the cutout at the front. I would take a stock longshot shell with a pump grip over the Terminator, and I think the XZeus beats it in every possible way.

Ok you know how much I like the long shot and how many that I’ve made , with that being said I run either a katana mag with an adapter or I’ll use the way better tallon mag and adapter system. But it looks like you can’t use an adapter with this blaster ,and if that true than I will never purchase this kit !! Which is sad because I want one . And of course I want to put LED’s in it and give it a really cool paint job . I’ll be in your are tomorrow but I’ll be working so if I get a chance Whizkid and I will try and stop by to get a closer look. Great job on the video keep up the great work!!

Awesome video walcom. A couple things I’ve had some flexing issues to, I did some research and I’m pretty sure that because worker had a different company do the molds, because it was to big to make in house. Also with my testing you can’t prime over a 16kg turf.

@zachkostechka36735 жыл бұрын
I wonder how hard it would be to reinforce that priming rod. Maybe make one from some thicker steel or aluminum, maybe rivet additional pieces to what's already there. Either way, a Longshot competitor should be able to take at least 16kg springs if it wants to be taken seriously.
@matthewyoho54225 жыл бұрын
It will, that's the spring load mine is running. It gets ~250 FPS with Worker Gen3 darts (not an exact match of the parts Walcom is using though).

Until it was said that you had to use a Worker bolt sled with this, I had thought about buying one to put Jet internals in for gits and shiggles.
@TectalBeanNerf5 жыл бұрын
You can you just have to use there bolt, and cut to fit the trigger
@SegwayBossk5 жыл бұрын
I bought an Omega kit for this the day they released the shell. Imagine my surprise when it wouldn't work without extensive shell cutting and pretty much making an entire new priming system unless I drilled holes in the Jet bolt sled and filed down the entire top part of the breech to eleminate the full length guide rail otherwise the sled couldn't come far enough forward without interference from the shell and priming system

Expensive, extra large injection molds. Can only assume Worker went thinner on the PC in the interest of cost shaving. A bit of a disappointment. Was looking at Worker to produce the best option for Longshot internals in the 250+ range due to reliability issues with Caliburns, but looks like they missed the ergonomics, the heavier build quality, price, and just about everything but the overall looks. As is, would rather stick with a Caliburn.
@96joe5 жыл бұрын
I like it but do agree the price is insane for that price you could buy the dart zone pro (assuming it’s going to be good as some are saying) and have money left over for darts or what ever. Or you could just build a prophecy to it’s fullest. Either way It’s up to whoever and they’re budget. Great video.
