I like your easy work flow weaving. I need to warp my little Harrisville Easy Weaver with this pattern and make a scarf. I will have to alter it to an 8-dent heddle though. Thank you Kelly.

I love herringbone! I’m looking forward to doing your class once I get more experience. I just recently did 2 twill scarves using 2 heddles and a pickup stick for the first time and it was so much fun to do something with a different sequence of movements. Can’t wait to try this when I’m ready!

Wonderful clear video. I made a scarf on my rigid heddle loom using two heddles correct width for shafts two, three and four and a heddle from my sampleit loom for shaft one which floated at the front. I like your solution better Kelly but it did save me buying a third rigid heddle.

Really helpful. Bit 8 do t understand how she's doing shaft 4. Are all 3 heddles in down position for shaft 4?

Hi Lynette, How you use the heddles depends on how you've set up to weave the pattern.

My question: is there really much of a difference between pick-up weaving and using more then one rigid heddle? Both methods can create multiple shafts to manipulate the warp threads. I will definitely be taking you class for this project! When I get waffle weave accomplished. Thank you!

Yes and no. When you use additional heddles, you have to make the threading arrangement fit the "rigidity" of the heddles. This can result in your pattern looking slightly different because threads can be spaced differently. But, essentially, you are still weaving the same pattern 😊

My Schacht flip loom only can put down the front heddle easily. Any ideas for using three heddles instead of using a string heddle for this problem?
