Normally a man working with kids parents will be ‘unsure’ about, but with ski instructing it is not looked down upon at all, I love that I wanna be a ski instructor in the future and am a guy

this looks so fun! how many languages do you speak? and how much did it cost to become a ski instructor? the lifestyle and social seems fantastic and i know there are certain drawbacks but the amount you ski is incredible. the kids are so cute!! and you have beautiful eyes!!

Just a question, I want to do a ski season, would being an instructor be a job I could do for the season?
@jimmyalderman5433 жыл бұрын
Depending on where you live, it probably be good to save up abs get your CASI level one (Canadian Associated Snowboard Instructors) and it will make you super employable. I’m from Australia and my older mates have done it and it’s great. The season here is good and when I turn 18 I’d love to work here and then go to canada, it’s my dream job. Just research and find people who have done it to talk to!

@@jimmyalderman543 thank you, was thinking of doing it in France so, could I use the same qualification?

@@JimFit13 yeah! I’m pretty sure the Canadian certification is the top one so it’ll work there!

Hey Brooke, thanks for the video. Didn’t really work much though ? I’d love to see a video on the logistics kinda stuff of being an instructor. How much ya make vs living expenses and job opportunities ect...for people thinking about being an instructor. Thanks 😆 p.s you’re gorgeous, coffee?

What jobs ski istructor regulary do between the seasons?
@ghengisful3 жыл бұрын
I was in St. Anton for 15 seasons. Most of the older Austrian instructors have families and other business interests that keep them there in summer, like restaurants and pensions that are open the rest of the year for tourists who want to hike or do other mountain activities. Some of the younger ones help with these businesses or are still students so they also stay, but a BIG percentage head to ski resorts in places like Australia or New Zealand where the seasons for skiing are reversed. The ones with higher qualifications get paid really well there by the way. Others are often summer sports instructors, eg. for windsurfing, hang-gliding, mountain biking etc., and a lot of them go to places with summer resorts like Greece, Spain, and so on. This is particularly true for the foreign instructors, like Aussies, Kiwis, and Brits. Then they come back the next season and the cycle keeps going. And of course don't forget that a lot of resorts in the Alps have glaciers so they are open for skiing and have jobs for instructors all year round. I hope this answer helps you get an idea of how it works. Just so you know there are three main requirements for a ski teacher. 1) You obviously have to be a really good skier with a good technical style, 2) you have to have patience with people and know how to explain things, demonstrate things, and how to correct their mistakes, and last but not least 3) you have to be able to party and still be able to function the next day with a hangover. :-)
