I use the same impact and them Pittsburgh are nice for the price. It makes me cry at night from how much I spent on tools. I shoulda worked at the Toyota here where they supply tools.

I say it in the vid bro. A 14mm and 3:8 ratchets. Air gauge and basic sockets and wrenches

Be careful, check with the dealership to make sure you actually need tools for the lube rack. I just started in express service and pretty much all tools (except small stuff like flashlights and pocket screwdrivers) are provided.

Do they provide you with all the tools? I heard the pay is nothing so I wouldn't expect them to expect the lube techs to provide their own tools.

Perhaps as of now is get all of my ASE certificates and become a master tech for Toyota and eventually who knows! Work for a independent shop that specializes in nissans. However one day I dream of having my own garage at home to fix cars on the side while I pursue a much bigger career!

@@pushhrodd01 hey man can you help me if I apply at toyota without drivers license can they hire me? I can get it in 2 months from now but they say the require a driving license and I have 2 years of experience in automotive

zeus God2k unfortunately they do require a license with a clean driving record. The reason being is you will constantly be driving customers cars. To diagnose a brake noise, drive it to the detail shop, in and out of your bay etc. so they need someone they can trust to drive because they insure you

Hey i use work in a inpendent shop in the caribbean where i got 6 years touching all makes and model of vehicles. I am toyota fan boy but have quite alot experience working on nissans. I am currently pursuing an AAS degree in automotive technology but in the future i will attend school again for aircraft mechanic certificate. Love ur video by way.

16 sounds about average depends on where you live in the country and any experince. Some dealerships provide tools youd have to ask the service manager or shop foreman about that

Some dealers do give you a box. Mine didn’t. I did get an oil catcher. Every shop gives you one

Work for Toyota as well and we all start at 10 on lube rack. Some of the ones that have been there for years got like a 25 cent raise lmao. There for the experience and to put on a resume, if they dont move you up after a year then get the fuck out imo.

Im about to start as a lube technician at toyota, but it's flat rate $17.50. Everyone I know started off hourly and then to flat rate. Is this normal?
