My name is Nancy Skuta and I'm a Lead Information Security Analyst with the Threat And Vulnerability Management Team. What attracted me to MNIT was the mission: protecting the state's data and IT. And so it's an exciting opportunity to be a part of.
A favorite project of mine was actually when we all got the notification that we were going to be sent home from the office to work at home when COVID hit. We had to pivot completely on how we scanned all of the systems, all of the workstations in the state.
And so one of the things that we had to do was shift from scanning our systems via the network to getting something onto the devices so that we could reach everybody while they were at home. So we had to deploy out an agent and we worked with the network team, the endpoint team, you know, the firewall folks, and really had to kind of pivot with that quickly.
And it was just really great to be able to work with a lot of different groups to be able to see that come to fruition.
