Honestly, I work at Trugreen and do this job. It’s only temporary work until weather changes. Companies only work that many hours for their area and regions. Not every trugreen company is like this. I average 8 stops a day for Areation, little bit bigger yards. It just depends on how many workers your company has and how well your co workers really are.

Been with TruGreen 2 years so far and honesty this job sucks. The bosses do not care about you one bit. If you call in sick even if it’s very rarely be prepared to get yelled at and berated. Management is awful, they play favorites and constantly criticize you in front of coworkers. The people who mixed my chemicals would mix at the wrong ratio and when lawns are burned you get yelled at not the service manager who mixed the product wrong. Work 60 hours a week and honest to god if your considering working at this company do not effing think about it move on.....it’s miserable and it sucks @$$. They send you to 30 properties a day and each property takes about 20-30 minutes unless you cut corners but then since you cut corners to avoid working till midnight and getting yelled at for “being too slow” the customers get super mad at you. Fuck this damn job I hate it and am so done with it come January (I finish paramedic schooling)

The branches in Florida need help i work for TruGreen the problem with the one i work for is the lack of training they give new employees they train guys on lawn who have never been around grass before for 5 days then put them out on their own and expect them to know everything about turf management. I had an advantage i was a spray tech for 12 years on a golf course and went to turf school for 2 years so i took to it better then most at my branch in Florida i have seen at least 15 people come and go in 6 months that ive worked there. Depends if you like outside work. The video you watched was the smallest property that one was less then 2000 sqft. I generally was doing on average 10,000 sqft yards. About 7-9 houses a day. It was also about a 2 hour ride each way to get to where I was working at that day. So gotta like driving a little bit. Also if it's 95 degrees 100% humidity with no shade you're still gonna be working 12 hours that day and be borderline heat stroke the whole day. If it's raining all day with thunderstorms the whole day you're still working 12 hours that day. If it gets cold where you live and it's 30 degrees and raining your still working 12 hours that day. Personally I hated every second at this job. But some people like it.

Also I'm gonna be home each time the guy comes due to fear the guy will do my lawn in 30 sec. Here's my question. So you think if I do the aeration, over seed and purchase a lan package through fall. Will the weeds will be gone and spots will have grass? Also I did have a sprinkler system. I want luscious green grass back and don't know what to personally put on the lawn. I rather have realistic expectations to say it may take 2 seasons vs True telling me yea we'll do it because they want my money. Thanks in advance

Aeration machines are giant pieces of crap at all companies. They take a ton of abuse and need constant repair. In 16 years of working in this industry I have yet to meet a person who likes to doing aerations. They are usually reserved for the new guys or those who can't pass a state licensing test for fertilizer applications.

time out! no where on the trugreen app is there a service for seeding! i’m in south jersey, why is that? wait? you seeded knowing it’s gonna rain that day????

Honestly, the cussing makes me know you’re someone I wouldn’t feel uncomfortable if (when) I F-bomb about how much my yard sucks, especially when the neighbor across the street’s yard belongs in Better Homes and Gardens... so... thank you for being real, and for helping give insight into what you do!

@willard3985 жыл бұрын
Man, I’m sure that’s not that hard of a job. it’s the repetition of the job and customer complaints that makes it aggravating but in a few weeks go back by you job sites and know you’re the reason the lawns look so good! Besides, it’s better than pumping out septic tanks or something really crappie. No pun intended....LOL

I just got a job offer here. Currently work 10 hours a day 4 days a week at a BMW Plant I’m SC. My current job only pays 11/h while Trugreen said they pay 14/h so I’m thinking of switching. How much do they pay you per hour?
@gideonacheampong66525 жыл бұрын

James Fisher Thanks, that’s what they offered me. I live in SC right next to BMW’s biggest car factory in the US and they’re offering $16.5 per hour for beginners. But once you work long enough they give you a $5.5 rase so $22/h If you live near it you should consider joining too. But if I don’t get the job I’ll just go for Trugreen.

I just learned they have built in gps in the company cars and you only get 2 hours of PTO after working 40 hours bro.
