Hi everyone, update #2: Facebook is removing their own 2FA method / Code Generator which is really big news & forcing everyone to move to their own 2FA method and/or app of their choice. Seems like they have partially listened to the community & their users. This will most likely mean some changes / improvements coming to this broken 2FA loop that Facebook users are experiencing. I plan to make a shorter video soon with updates & explaining any changes to this process in order to recover your account.

I too, upgraded to the new Samsung S23 Ultra and I had difficulty logging into my Facebook account on my laptop. First of all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to create this video. I experienced the same issue. I changed phones, and after downloading the Google Authenticator app on my new phone, the codes stopped working. However, the main issue I have is that Facebook now requires a driver's license or passport to access your account. Because of this, I have stopped trying to find solutions to regain access to my account since last summer. I believe that providing such sensitive information is too much to ask.

This worked for me! Thank you so much! Let me tell you what happened in my case in case others experience the same. I did exactly what was recommended. I went to the form, filled it out and received an email from the FB team. I replied as instructed in the video. I heard nothing back within two days so I did it again. I heard nothing back within another two days so I did it again. Finally, I heard nothing back after another two days and I went to my account to see if they may have removed the 2FA and just didn't tell me and they did. So it's possible people are getting their 2FA removed and just don't know it so go and check!
