Quality matters, the most. 8 hours is fine. There is work, way back home too, be it a man or woman. Family life, a must. Children should be given time. A get together with friends and relatives is also important....Prayers, Sleep & rest of 7-8 hours, is most essential to perform well. We don't need to loose our mental balance. All day work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy. Can we gather from this statement to what it is leading us to? Dullness. It's better to be active and not overactive , tire yourself & land in hospitals. Those who are ready for "overtime", 2-3 hours is fine. Sleep, Prayers, family life, housework, entertainment need time. I go with Sir Anand. I too would choose, Quality of work and not quantity. I choose to work longer years and not shorten my life. Earn to live, not to die/kill.

So, Mr. S.N. Subrahmanyan, (SNS) made a comment during his internal meeting with L&T employees and it became the NEWS for the nation to talk about, make memes about and waste time commenting about. Meanwhile Larsen and Toubro, (L&T) under SNS' able leadership continues to do what L&T does best.... Make the Things That Make India Proud Behind that comment was the force and character of a man who stood beside his colleagues and the nation during the very difficult COVID times, taking care of the entire L&T family, speaking personally to and helping each affected member. Those who are riding and getting publicity from his comment, for instance Deepika Padukone, probably did not realise that behind that comment was humour meant for an in-house meeting....it was a meeting between family members and the head of that family. Another person commenting on this is Anand Mahindra. He says that his company makes cars and so the employees have to decide what a customer wants in a car “if we are not with our families, not with other families, how are we going to understand what people want to buy, what kind of car do they want to sit in” I had a good laugh hearing him say so. In my opinion, if that's what goes into designing of Mahindra's cars then I suggest we buy a different car…… For everyone else sharing their two bits, the less said the better. All they can do is misconstrue and comment. As for the memes that are floating around, they are the result of too much idle time on hand. Could be better utilized by test driving Mahindra's cars on Sundays or writing reviews for Deepika Padukone's movies. Finally, thank goodness, the unethical person who leaked the innocent, humorous comment leading to this unnecessary flare up, across the nation, has no chance to eavesdrop in Deepika Padukone's home, at Mahindra's staff picnic or elsewhere. It would lead to another piece of gossip for frivolous debate.
