I heard a stat that 90% of contraband comes in through dirty staff. Is that number true???

im not sure the exact number but majority of it does come in from corrupt staff

It is a great number. Probably about 85% staff, 10 visitation, 5% mail. But the majority is staff who try to beat the system and make money. Once an inmate gets you to bring in something and you do it ,they got you. They now own you. You are now at their mercy. You become their State Property. Not worth it. It brings shame to you and shame to your family. Then you get an id number. Tell’em G.B.B. We worked at the same place we seen it all.

@CLEE1503 crazy! i aint rich but i make enough money to take trips out the country, & go to just about any restaurant. i like my freedom, im tryna be sorrounded by women, not doing time around a bunch of men 😂

I worked for the BOP at NYC-MCC. Was a GS-6, 7, and 8 (SOS). This is where Epstein killed himself. In my 3 years, staff slept with inmates, brought them in contraband, helped them escape, smoked drugs with them, and more. An inmate murdered two cops (one was my neighbor). A female officer slept with murderer in jail and got pregnant. City cops disliked us so much, that they wrote us parking tickets while we worked. I had fun at times, but overall do not recommend this job.

Is there reasonable accommodation for people with dyslexia to work as a CO ? I have trouble with spelling.

long as you can write a halfway decent incident report. & you can always practice & work on your spelling to the bestof your ability. go head & apply!

absolutely! people who go down that path don’t realize they are throwing away millions of dollars in future earnings, retirement, and gonna lose their job & probably go to prison just to take a short cut on some money they could have made anyways by not being lazy and picking up extra shifts and not having to risk their livelihood and freedom 🫡

When I was there civilians were throwing loaded footballs over the fence, we saw some drones dropping contraband, this girl got caught with phones in ziploc bags in her fountain drink, another put dope in her TV dinner and re-sealed the box to where it wasn't noticeable at first glance. Weaves and wigs were hiding spots of course. One guy had dope in his pants leg and it was falling out as he was walking to post and his building Sgt was right behind him picking it up for evidence. It's wild in there.
