Great harvest! Your garden is so lush and beautiful for being in the Texas heat. Do you have tips for gardening in the heat..say ..above 100?

I'm still learning but I think what is working well for me is variety selection and growing things close together which is causing some natural shading. Okra, peppers, field peas, and yard-long beans all grow well in the heat so they are doing well in my garden. I think my tomatoes are benefiting from being close together, but some varieties are doing better than others.

A few ants seem to be ok in my garden, however when there are large numbers of ants I powder down the area with CINNAMON POWDER. It works and I purchase it from the dollar store. I'm in 6a - West Virginia.

Thanks for the tip! I'm okay with a few as well, but yeah, when I have a lot of them I like to try and get rid of them.
