I think it is good to leave the calves with their moms. Like you said “let bison be bison”. Love y’all and the animals. Such a joy to be able to watch your videos. I am 77 years old, live alone, and can no longer drive. Your videos are a great entertainment.

I love that you are leaving the calves with Mommas longer. Good for everybody involved. Good for you and your operation. We learn as we become more experienced. Always follow the natural way of doing things, then we follow Gods plan! Good on ya!!

I love that you are not weaning the calves at 6 months, and are letting nature take it's course. That makes so much sense. It's so exciting to see the water in your pond again, after such a tough Summer! You and Marissa must feel so relieved by that. Happy Thanksgiving to the three of you! With lots of prayers, love and gentle hugs for y'all and your critters too. God bless y'all always, Donna Gulyas in Florida. 🥰🙏🙏🙏🦬🐕🐎🦃🐔🐓🐤🌴

I'm glad your pond is filled back up for the bison, however I wished it had been deeper.
@CrossTimbersBisonАй бұрын
If we go deeper, the chances of loosing the clay level of soil decreases...therefore is a greater chance of the pond not holding water at all.
@melcat5606Ай бұрын
It's beautiful to see practices changing.... bison are NOT cattle, and should not be treated as cattle. Let bison be bison! You already have immediate validation to leaving the calves with their moms until naturally weaned, with their increased size and weight, AND you have happy moms and calves! I appreciate how progressive and open-minded you are with how you manage your livestock; I wish more farmers and ranchers would do the same. It's past time we learned to manage our land and beasts as best possible to return them all to the richness and health that once was the norm. Thank you so much for your efforts to do just that! Love, peace, joy and blessings to you, yours and all here

It's great to hear and see the latest changes to Cross Timbers Bison. It's especially nice to see the pond dug out and expanded. It's cool to see the bison growing and and seeing Peaches coming into her own too. Also, it's only a matter of time when you have a full-time camera techie who will most likely be taking over much of the video production, and I don't think she will be denied. Do you? as I mentioned above, it's great to see y'all, and may you keep on bison herding and staying healthy. Cheers from the north east, in CT.
