Alexandra also discusses two recent cases involving situations where the employee failed to work during the working notice period offered. Employers must provide reasonable notice to the employee on termination of his or her employment and just cause. The primary purpose of this notice of requirement is to compensate the employee while he or she looks for comparable employment.
