Make sure you properly measure the flatness of the block and head before mating them again. In general aluminum blocks and heads warp after they are torqued and run, and with nowadays very thin head gasket you risk of having leaks if they are not perfectly flat.

I'm getting ready to start working on my e90 335i. I killed cylinder 6 its either ring lands or valve stem seals. so since I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone with diagnostics I bought a n54 with 75k on it and im getting ready to do all the gaskets minus the head gasket and i been following you for a little while. I have the same clutch in my car that you had. I was on xclutch's website and I couldn't find a refresh kit. I'm on upgrade 775rs twins and fbo with b58 coils and when I put in the new motor I'm installing my p.i. .. wish I had a friend in south jersey to give me a hand but all my car homies left the n54 and went to Hondas lol
