These 4600s & 4000s were very popular in Ireland and UK in their day.. Lots were exported used out to third world countries along with the bigger 4cyl models 6600 and 5000s .. So not many left..

I wish you could show more of this specific tractor... I have one, just gotten it, and there are almost no one doing content about this model. I'm thinking about adding some extra hydraulics to make a two way frontloader(to have the bucket tip with hydraulics and not just a trip wire)

Appreciate that @jana171. It's a GREAT Tractor! We wrapped up this water pump project and it's reclaiming fields with the Brush cutter again. We are told that the hydrolic fluid passages are small on these 4600 tractors. So, expect a slow moving front loader at best. What else would you like to see here from this tractor? Thanks for posting!

@@hopfammedia GREAT to hear you like the tractor like I do... and thanks for replying... I'm also looking for general maintenance tips on this tractor too, for example locating crucial grease points, oil changes, air filters replacements... stuff like that 🙂 Last week i had to change the battery, it had been sitting a few weeks in the cold, and was down to 3.4volt, so charger couldn't even pick it up anymore... so I'm expecting a little troubleshoot of the battery charging systems and electrical wiring. I have a simple front loader, and as you say, it's slow but seems plenty strong. Currently I'm rebuilding/refitting a beet-bucket into a digging-bucket that will work for the trip-wire version(not sure i got the wording correct), so currently I'm learning plasmacutting and welding 🙂Next up is fitting Pallet forks... fixing the 2-way hydraulics is slowly becoming essential as you can imagine... There's SO many exiting projects ahead, homesteading is FUN, and content like this is my inspiration really.

Absolutely. On top of being a capable / reliable build, this tractor also has sentimental value. I will try to get it back on the channel the next time it comes into the shop. It sounds like yours is on the good path. I hope you enjoy great success in your endeavors @jana171!

Good job Laura. You had a good know how where to start with. Scraping the grime is something that makes you wonder how did it get this bad in the first place? I don't know much about Ford tractors cause they are rare to uncommon where I live. But I don't see any obvious mistakes made so it's probably fine. Or you will find out about it when you start it and there is a pool of fluids on the floor.

Lazy!? ...lazy people don't repair antique trackers let alone notice small details like how easy it was to remove bolts. ...I believe the answer to the classic show question is "Mama's family". thanks for sharing this vid!
