Great question YS, now lets all teach the cops that lesson. I fell out with one a month ago over that and he gave me an ultimatum to either give my details or he wasnt taking the report. Complaint has been made for neglect of duty.

This will probably be put to the test unfortunately Yardley..as we have seen on numerous occasions Police wrongly insist they must have your personal details to report a crime..
@RichardKinghorn4 ай бұрын
It’s funny that Crime Stoppers does not require a name to report a crime though. They will happily take your report without getting your details and pass it on to the police, yet cops seem to think you need to give your details to report a crime. Crimewatch solved hundreds of crimes by anonymous calls to it, including murders.

Because it immediately identifies them as a cop. That means they could be followed a lot easier and their neighbours would be more aware of who they lived near.

I would ask, is it ethical for a met police constable who has been found guilty by a court to then set up a just fund me page for £54 grand, even though he's on suspension with full pay? This is what PC Perry Lathwood has done.

Question. Why do police officers fail to intervene when they see other officers failing to follow policy or the law? Example. Fail to point out things blue line badge against policy especially when a member of the public asks for its removal. No officer intervened when an officer repeatedly punched a guy on the ground in the face in Manchester. When asked if they would they always say yes. But never ever seen it. Audits repeatedly searched illegally.
@RichardKinghorn4 ай бұрын
If they intervene at that the time their colleagues will shun them as to them it goes against their standing up for each other no matter what. In other words if a colleague is in trouble they will consider that cop not a team player and won’t trust him to help them or back them up if they are under attack from people. So they very rarely intervene at the time so as not seen to be as not a team player. Of course to your face they will tell you they would but in reality they won’t.
@judithmatthews84604 ай бұрын
@@RichardKinghorn exactly. Sadly I informed the police as a naive 22year old a cop was beating his wife. They told me to myob and go home. I said he’s also dealing drugs he steals from dealers, that was an open secret in my town . They got angry and told me to shut up. One guy I’d gone to school with we all knew each other and he refused to help. That cop was never held accountable he served in the town beating his wife and occasionally dealing for another at least 14 years until he was caught and resigned. Never trusted them since.
@RichardKinghorn4 ай бұрын
@@judithmatthews8460 gang mentality of protect each other no matter what law has been broken until it is noticed by the higher ups and they can do no more to protect them. That is clear from Wayne Couzens and Michael Carrick. They knew well beforehand what they were both doing but did nothing to stop them. In Couzens case they knew he was flashing at women and did nothing to stop him early in, if they had then Sarah Everard would still be alive. In Carrick case they knew too and could have stopped him far earlier and saved several women from being rap.d but as usual they kept on covering for them. Just those two cases are two cases too many that should never happen.
