I’m a new nursing grad and one thing my mom told me is DO NOT SHOW THESE JOBS LOYALTY! I will not break my back and risk my life for a check. My pay is more than what I need for my lifestyle and living with my mom also. There are too many people who want to “chase the bag” but their health is terrible and don’t want to miss out on work. Take care of yourself before anyone else.

Yes, nursing is definitely stressful & was an overrated career of choice for ME. The last time I worked in nursing at a hospital was in May 2006. after a traumatic back injury while assisting a patient, I was terminated for not being able to do my duties as a nurse ( imagine that). At the time, the hospital in which I worked, stopped accepting Blue Cross Blue Shield for a time. Our hours & pay were cut TREMENDOUSLY because there was barely any patients on the floors. It was unimaginable how many people had BCBS insurance. I found my termination to be a BLESSING in disguise because although I made more money than I ever made, I was heinously stressed-out. In my household was my husband & 2 young children. I also was taking care of a sick & elderly mother whom lived 45 minutes away, with no assistance from my 4 siblings. I was diagnosed with kidney cancer of 1 kidney in 2019. It was removed & I’ve been CANCER-free ever since by GOD’s Grace & Mercy that has kept me SANE, healthy & stress-free 😇🙏🏽.

This is 1 of the reasons y I don't play with these jobs. They only care about staffing, not their staff. Ur health is not a priority 2 them. They'll b more upset that u called out with a genuine sickness than they r about u actually being sick. I thank God He sent the endocrinologist 2 insist on seeing u & that u r still here.

I was experiencing some chest discomfort at work-no other obvious symptoms, but a co-worker asked me what was going on and I told him what was up and told him if I was still feeling like this after my shift, I would go to the ER. His words snapped me into reality He said the place we were working would have an ad in the paper for my job before my obituary could be published Hahaha I gave hand-off report and headed to ER. I ended up with an emergency CABG x3. I’m grateful for his comments to this day. Lol

….., ……. May this message richly bless you and yours as it has bless me. Many profess believers of Jesus Christ believe that the fourth commandment to keep the Sabbath day holy was nailed to the cross and that we no longer have to keep it, while still embracing the other nine commands. Do you believe this? Ask yourself this question: which one or ones of the Ten Commandments do Jesus wants us to keep and obey? The Sabbath command is not only to be kept but it is to be calculated by the Time/calendar God ordained in the beginning of creation, Genesis 1:14. The sun, moon and stars are God’s True Time/calendar not that famous Gregorian calendar hanging on our walls in our houses. This split in God’s law must be repaired!! All of God’s laws, statutes, judgments and testimonies are just and true! We must do things God’s way or else we will be worshipping him in vain. There will be no good reward. Today, there are Sabbath laws/blue laws/Sunday laws on government books. Friday is not the true Sabbath. Saturday is not the true Sabbath. Sunday is not the true Sabbath, etc., because they are calculated by man’s time/calendars. The Gregorian Calendar is not true time. God’s months start with the new moon day. Read 1 Samuel 20. The Gregorian calendar do not start its months with the new moon day. So then, how can Saturday, Sunday, etc. be the true Sabbath? The beast in Daniel 7:25 only thought to change time on paper. For he could not truly change time because it sits in the heavens where no man can tamper with it. God’s months reset every month. Man got their concept from this, for example, “the first and fourth Saturday in April”, “the “first and fourth Saturday in May”, etc. A good example of this can be found in the Word Of God, Luke 6:1. What “second” Sabbath is this? Is it the “second” Sabbath after the creation of Adam and Eve? No!, it was the “second” Sabbath for that particular moon/month. The woman in Revelation 12 is the true church. She is surrounded by the sun, moon and stars, the lights in heaven, the signs. The true church keeps God’s Sabbath by the lights in heaven. When she is in the wilderness, she will not be using a pocket Gregorian calendar. She will calculate her Sabbaths by the signs above. We who now keep Sabbath by God’s Time are fully aware that we do not have all the light on this precious truth. Many of us do not yet completely understand how the stars play their role in God’s Calendar., ‘etc. But, if we are counted worthy to be amongst the just, we are comforted because the Bible says that, “ The path of the just is as a shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” There is more light to come on this subject. Keep moving forward. Also, we cannot look to the people occupying the land of Israel today to say that they are keeping the correct Sabbath. Today, there is much controversy about who are the true children of Israel. The true Kids of Jacob are still scattered throughout the nations and still are being hated, despised and persecuted. Jesus said that there are people who say that they are Jews, but are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Believe the WORD OF GOD above any nation of people!!! The true Sabbath is calculated by the sun, moon and stars. So, do your research on what you have read in this letter. This is how I have been taught to keep Sabbath by the lights in heaven. The first week is, the new moon day, then the six work days and then Sabbath. Week 2, 3, and 4 is, six work days and then Sabbath. There is never, ever, ever 5 Sabbaths in God’s months as it sometimes is on the Gregorian calendar! The Father has three category of days, the new moon day, the 6 work days and the Sabbath day. Read Ezekiel 46:1-3 and 2 Kings 4:18-23. They never overlaps each other. The new moon will never fall on the Sabbath day or on one of the six work days, etc. This information is helpful both now and future because we need to get back to God’s ways and if God should allow man to enforce a “Sabbath Test”, to see if we will keep His Law or no. If such a test is allowed, may we choose wisely. Let us seriously repent of our evil ways, stop worshiping other gods, talking about one another, stealing, killing, lying, fornicating, adultery, disobedient to parents, etc., etc., etc. Let us seek God, read our bibles, memorize His commandments and do them, For God’s Kingdom is coming!! Repent! Repent! Repent! Worship Him that made heaven, earth and sea. This Babylonian system is falling, the Powers in charge are aware of this fact but they cannot stop it. Their time is coming to an end! Our time is coming to an end! If any worship the beast and his image and receive his mark, the same shall have no rest day or night and they shall be burnt with fire and brimstone. Revelation 13 and 14. Deuteronomy 5 Isaiah 58:12-14. And, furthermore, don’t be deceive concerning the “climate change movement “ and the “pretend care for the poor.” Remember, Judas , the betrayer of Jesus Christ, who claimed to care for the poor? It is true that many common people really do care about the earth and folks. But, not this last day beast system!! The Bible unmask this deception. We have already been warned that the last day beast power will “devour the whole earth, and shall thread it down, and break it in pieces” …” and wear out the saints of the most High..”. Satan is the father of lies! Read Daniel 7:23,25 With the things that are going on in the world today, it appears to me that Revelations 17 is taking place . The nations are giving their power to the beast until God says, enough. Also, research the “Seven Noahide Laws.” These are Jewish laws taken from their writings. The first law in the “Seven Noahide Laws” forbids idolatry and according to Jewish doctrine, to believe in Jesus Christ, God’s Son, is idolatry and is punishable by death, decapitation. I have also heard that some of the USA presidents have signed this law under “Education. Day”and it is planned to be unleashed on all nations in the future. So, Research and see if these things be truth. May The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

Ladies, Please stop with this working yourself into poor health. I have been a nurse for 30 years. I observed the older nurses when I started out . They were always complaing of back pain. 3 of the young nurses and an aide on the floor I worked as a new nurse had miscarriages. I don't lift anyone above 20 lbs. I work in Pediatrics.. I take 2 weeks vacations every 3 months. I spent less so I have more and invest my money. The trick is to work smart and not chase the dollar or you will be in an early grave or living in a 90 years old body when you are not 90.

Your story is so profound. I had a similar experience. I was working 3 icu jobs in 2015. Full time CVICU, per diem medical ICU, part time surgical icu. Mind you, all of them were in different cities… within a 30-35 min drive of my home. Well one day as charge in cv, I was doing rounds with the team and became acutely short of breath, sweating from my nipple line up, with chest pressure. I truly thought I was having a heart attack. Mind you.. I was 33!! No prior health history.. nothing. But here I was at work in SVT with saddle PEs. Any one in healthcare knows this was quite deadly. I was admitted to the ICU and placed on a heparin drip after having every scan you could imagine. Every consulting MD you could imagine was at my bedside to figure out how in the heck this could happen! The cardiologist and hematologist were quite perplexed. I cried so badly and truly put my life into a new perspective. I left the toxic marriage that I was in. I cut my jobs back to one. I took a year sabbatical from nursing and pulled back from all the different positions I was holding in my primary job in CV. These doctors were truly my angle’s because it was my cardio intensivist and surgeon who recognized that something was wrong with me. We have to take care of ourselves Nurses.. we are killing ourselves slowly. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I’m a nurse. My heart rate was 36 in my primary doctor appointment. I was tired and when I walked up a flight of steps I had to walk up one at a time and have severe shortness of breath. My EKG was abnormal--bradycardia with abnormal beats. She said s no you have to see a cardiologist. I asked is it safe for me to work feeling this way. She kind of shrugged her shoulders. Needless to say I went to work. Three days later I went to urgent care because it was Thanksgiving weekend. Luckily I was seen by nurse practitioner who used to be ER nurse. She listened to me and ordered EKG. It was abnormal again. She looked at it and said”you’re not going to line me but you need to go to ER now”. I had a pacemaker placed. I swear that she saved my life. I’m returning to work in 2 weeks.

The pain is so bad on the left side that it takes my breath away sometimes because it feels like a sharp knife has been stuck into it. There have been times after a long day at work that I can barely get out of my car or walk. I sleep with heating pads on my lower back because heat seems to be the only thing that alleviates the pain. I also struggle with the brain fog and have a hard time focusing or remembering things that I should. And i'm only 30!! I have brushed this pain off for the past four years because I thought, maybe I just hurt it at work. I have gone to physical therapy for this but it didn't seem to do much for me. It actually would make the pain worse at times. Our stories are very similar, I just want to thank you for sharing this. And thank you for shining the light on God. It has been frustrating because I struggle with trusting medicine and it seems that when I go to the doctor "nothing is wrong" but I KNOW something is going on with my body. I just have to find the right people that can diagnose it. This gives me hope and I am making an appointment with my PCP first thing on Monday! You are an inspiration

As a retired nurse I have horror stories I could write a book about but I would have to seek counsel before sharing. In the beginning of my career as a new grad I made the mistake of not being able to say "NO" and I was a nurse for over 10 years and having health problems before I finally started standing up for myself.

Hi Kendra. Thank you for sharing your story. I am an RN as well and I have experienced those symptoms: extreme back pain, hair loss, weight loss, and lack of appetite. This happened when I was an orientee as a NOC nurse on a Med/Surg/Tele unit. I didn't go to the doctor, but I knew I had to leave that job because it was so toxic for me. I was being bullied by my preceptors, other nurses, manager, educator, and supervisor. I saw your other videos on senior nurses bullying young nurses - it is absolutely true! I have to thank GOD for saving me because my manager ended up firing me and lying about not meeting orientation goals when I had a senior nurse who signed off all my papers for orientation, but my manager refuse to take it. Anyways, I think my Ca+ level was very high and my body was compensating for it. I remember my cousin telling me how I look sick. Now I'm feeling better and don't experience these symptoms anymore. I learned a great lesson which is to take care of our own health first before any corporations because they don't care about nurses. We are disposable to them.

Hi Kendra thank you for doing this and posting these comments. I’m a RN/BSN/C-OB; C-High Risk OB who is now retired x3 years. I had many many issues with white nurses whose intent was to see me fail. Working in the Deep South and with the Army in Germany was the worst. I had angels in my life who propped me up and pushed me forward. I started a Masters program at age 30 with 3 kids and a active duty husband. I also trained as a Army medic/ became a supervisor of training for army medics and joined the reserves. I fell off a bed backwards during an emergency C/S and dislocated my lumbar spine . I am now on disability after two back surgeries. Just like you ignored your pain I did so with mine. Of course it didn’t help that I had numerous physicians that misdiagnosed me. It is wonderful that you are advocating for other nurses. I am now retired/over 65 and a granny of 4. I am going to send you a picture of my mom who was an RN diploma grad and had polio.

You’ve inspired me to find another doctor… I’ve had this back pain for months and I brought up to my PCP at my physical, hoping I could get a referral for imaging (an X-ray, at least 🤷🏻‍♀️). Her response was that I needed to lose weight… I’m not an obese woman, definitely overweight, and the back pain has been only on my right side, lumbar region. I have history of chronic kidney stones (the CaCO3 kind) and HTN… She didn’t even hesitate, “you just need to lose some weight and that back pain should go away.” This is why people have a distrust of medicine/doctors… I have good insurance- she couldn’t even order some imaging and tests to put my mind at ease or even prove herself right? 🥺 I’m gonna find a new doc…
