Great footage showing how agri machinery as developed over the years. It was harder work but more enjoyable i think.

Another excellent video that brought the memories flooding back again. If you drove a County 1454 in the early to mid 70s you were a king among the tractor drivers then. I recognised an old Allis Chalmers 222 hay turner / wuffler giving the straw bouts a shake up too. They were a great turner in their day as they could keep two 5 foot bouts of grass separate for early stage drying or put them into one big bout as they dried out ready for baling by removing the smaller middle doors. As for the tractors and ploughs working they are a nice trip down memory lane too.

Nice to see a Zetor! They were common where I'm from but I get the feeling not many have survived. Great vid as always. Best of luck with your upcoming event. If I was living in England I'd be there.

I wouldn’t say there’s anything wrong with the plough but for some reason although the skimmers are there, took the skeeths off, l imagine it kept bunging up with the ground being hard and dry.
@Casterton-Vintage3 ай бұрын
Looked like a strange approach to the problem to me.
@glennlingard78513 ай бұрын
@@Casterton-Vintage we’ve took skeeths off before because of bunging up with excessive trash on top, that’s the only thing l could see different on that plough.

We should have seen more to the Same oozing around in the background instead of overly many shots of some of the Fords. Hope that will come in another video. The Same´s would outpull almost anything in those days. Very powerful engines. Even back then the MF 2640´s were a little ridiculess. Giant tractor with only 110 hp. They had good driver comfort though. Also, back then the Zetor was a very capable tractor for its size. Even in the early 80´s they easily kept up with the class average when we were talking pulling power. At that time the unbalanced engine and transmission was getting old

175 HP still is Big,I Worked on a Farm and The Big Tractor Was a 7610 2WD it Did all the Ploughing Pulling a 4 Furrow Dowdswell ,Then a 5610 and 4610 Did All the Other Jobs Apart From Subsoiling that Was Done With a 2640 110hp I Still Dont Get Whats all this High Power is about The Fields are Still the Same Size, So theres No Need For Massive Exspensive Tractors.
