Chuck you're a great instructor. I last did leathercrafting in junior high school 50+ years ago and have finally gotten back into it and your different tutorials have been most helpful, thank you!

Yours looks much better than my previous attempts, so thanks to your tips, I will see if I can get better results. I’ve lost count of how much I’ve learned from your videos, but it’s substantial. Many thanks Sir.

Perfect timing! I love the floral stamp and I'm going to use it as a border stamp on an 8" x 8" mouse pad I'm making for my sister. She is going to love it! Thanks.

I like your light set up too, I have cataracts developing but not ready for the surgery yet, probably at least two or three years down the road or more. I like lots of light, I have tot lights on each bench but I think those flood lights on each side with color bulbs would really help! Keep up the good work Chuck!

Did you ever get your cataract surgery? I had mine and was sorry I did not do it sooner. I'm pushing 70 and can see like I did when I was thirty, with reading glasses, but not 3.5x nope at 1.5x and I figure that will last me until I go home.

Nice video on border stamps. I particularly liked the tips on the use of the barbed wire stamps. Your light set-up caught my attention. How about a video on building one of those? What is covering the light bulbs? Do you use a particular kind of bulb? Is the frame attached to the table or does the weight of the marble slab hold it upright? Thanks.

Thanks so much for your great video demonstrating various decorative stamping methods, but I'm VERY concerned with how you use various stamps to end a decoration similar to the way you did with this video... I've watched several of your videos about this, but have NOT seen you demo how you use the stamps to meet one another at the end of the project... Help! I'm sure others must feel the same... PLEASE more demo's on how to do this! Again Thanks for these videos!

Hi there, we can definitely add this to our list of videos to work on. We do have a video showing how to use a camouflage stamping tool and how to angle your stamps if you are close to the edge: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHiWla2OgrBgqqc

I'm excited on trying border stamps, hey did you design & make everything that's hanging up behind you, just curious, still loving your videos. Oh one question, are the groove lines a good idea, for adding the chisel holes, i'm guessing that it will make it a good bit easier, cause when I've tried 2 pieces of semi-thin leather together, the lower leather pc, never gets the holes in it.
@WeaverLeatherSupply4 жыл бұрын
HI Melody, Yes, a groove line is a great thing to use as a guide to get your stitching holes straight. You can use a wing divider or a stitch groover. The tools behind me are all from Weaver Leathercraft. Thanks!

Your stamps looks darker? How you apply leather before stamping???
@WeaverLeatherSupply4 жыл бұрын
It's called a burnish and it's just the leather being cased to the right water content before stamping. That, and having a good quality veg tan leather. There isn't anything else applied to the leather besides water.
