I think the AM2 exam is probably too long to do in one go 2.5 days which is why so many do not pass. Too much pressure put on the apprentices in a short space of time I think it would be better to split the exam in 2 . AM2 PART 1 AND AM2 PART 2 with say 4 weeks gap in between This would allow applicants to relax and have weeks of extra practice for the second leg.pass rates should be much higher then. Maybe part 2 could be on the testing and inspecting section. At the moment it's like asking a football team to play for 90 minutes without a half time break. The break is there to re-energise and re-focus on the task ahead.

Hello Chris, In my experience it is more than enough time and I will explain why I think that. From the range of apprentices that we put through, the best complete that installation in 3 hours and they get 10. The weakest ones still manage to do it in under 10, so I am more than confident that anyone who is at the level required to pass the AM2, will easily do it. If people are running out of time, then they simply are not ready and that is a separate issue, and one that I feel passionate about 🙌

Hi. I've recently become a trainee electrician and I find your videos extremely helpful. I'm currently studying the 2365 lvl 3. City and guild have released a new design project. Hotel extension with a pool/cafe. I'm having some trouble getting my head around it. If you could do a video on that. That would be massively appreciated. im doing my 18th in two weeks, I remember hearing from your video that the exam follows from part one to the appendix but my college tutor told us that the questions are scattered from part 1 - appendix following no order throughout the exam? is this true???

As long as you go to a good college that will teach you how to use the book properly then you'll be fine. I did mine last year and the questions were in order.

@@paulf1767 sorry, the tutor is wrong. The questions are in Outcome order, i.e. Part order with BS 7671

Is the cartoon character supposed to be you ! Artistic licence there lad. I do agree that the AM 2 assessment must not be watered down or practiced
