Id look into his channel and a few others. Thats not good:/ cause horses are an animal you can kill very easily on accident. The wind blowing wrong can make them colic. Its one of the worst pats of owning horses I think. We had to learn a lot of basic horse vet skills in my equine studies major, we're all warned to bring our horses to vets that specializes in big animals, because a vet who doesn't know horses that well can kill them if they don't know what they're doing.. Thankfully I live in a rural area where the vets and vet techs are cowboys themselves. Usually vets don't do horses feet, we usually go to farriers

Kevin RAAAMAGE I live in a very small country- animals here are not a priority. So I’ll do my best to become the best vet I can be, or even try to move to another country and study there. We only have a small uni-farm where we look at cows once every two months and that’s about it. Everything else we learn when it comes to actually seeing or handling an animal, is by individually visiting private vets, youtube videos, presentations our professors make, or medial-dog- dolls. It’s tough..

I’m a vet student too. I used to go to a riding school as a kid for one year and I learned some care and grooming and basic riding there, but I had experience volunteering at a rescue and the horses were very much scared of people. I learned a bit about how dangerous they could be there. Since I have started at my vet school, we have been doing equine exams since day one, so I guess it depends on what school you attend, but definitely watching channels like this one and try to get experience during your free time. Ask if any of your friends have horses, for instance! We have a few that have them boarded and they let people get more exposure.

Astrid B it’s a very small country- 1 in 1000 farmers have 1-2 horses if any. And there are two ranches in the whole country. We don’t have “university vet clinics” where we can look at patients first hand. It is what it is.. I’m thinking of learning German and trying to get a scholarship there. I love this profession that’s why I chose it- even if it doesn’t have respect or perspective in my country. My luck..

I don’t think he could give up buddy or Mr T “if he was still with us.” They were and are like his children. We all say things we don’t mean when we are grieving. The only way I could see him giving up buddy is if he was not physically capable of taking care of him anymore. And I don’t see that happening any time soon! 🤷‍♀️

This Is Absolutely Beautiful. She is getting the Loving she has always deserved but may have never gotten. It’s cute how she’s picking up the Stool, But her poor back leg. I’ve noticed she also will rest the other back leg but nothing like the one she has up the most. It does look swollen. I Pray they are able to have her checked out & maybe something can come along to help. It’s hard with not knowing an Animals History. Rick I love seeing you work with her in All Areas. I noticed that too Mark. She actually curled that hoof under a couple if times. I suspect sciatic pain radiating down her legs, more prominent on the right side. She also leans a little to take weight off the leg. Through the discomfort which appears to me fairly significant, Bella tries hard to please Rick. She is a sweetie.

Even while you're working on her fronts, she's constantly flexing her weight on and off that right hind, but what an angel letting you do what you need to do! Beautiful girl's had a rough past! Love the tips on desensitising farrier gear by dropping those items, I'll definitely be adding that to my desensitising arsenal. :)

Precious girl; I hope the owners appreciate all the work you’re putting into keeping her comfortable and giving her some good lessons to take home. I board dogs and do nail grinds/baths/sanitize dirty bowls and toys when I see those animals will benefit from it. I don’t know if the owners realize it but it’s all done out of respect and love for the animal, because they sure as hell know good treatment when they get it
