FreeSpirit ... Because placing any divination tool under your pillow will help the tool merge with your subconscious so you can tap into more accurate answers. When you waking up your brain is in an alpha state that can allow you to be more intuitive and can help you develop a deeper relationship with your tool. This can also work with Tarot, Runes, etc. There is always different ways of doing things though but I find sleeping with a tool under the pillow works great especially when you don't feel connected to it at first.

Julissa, I used to be scared of that too. What I used to do at the beginning was wrap it in a small cloth to pad it a bit and I would put it inside the pillow case. If you are still too afraid of breaking it though, you can place it on a night stand or somewhere nearby while you sleep. If you decide to place it on a night stand or wherever while you sleep, I'd take a couple minutes before and sit with your tool and ask that it open up to you, then when you first wake up in the morning take a minute doing the same. You can also carry it with you all the time like in your purse or pocket until you bond with your tool. Hope this helps.

A similar thing happened when I got my first pendulum about a year ago. I was never really interested in pendulums and only focused on tarot and crystals. But one day while I was in the shop I came across a rack of pendulums and one immediately gave me an image of my late stepdad. So I went over and picked it up and it gave me a warm and calm energy. I put it down and went around the store one more time. I ended up getting the pendulum before I left.

I love devining with pendulums! I was very young when I started to goof around with then after seeing something about them on the history channel and was amazed by how accurate they could be and how helpful! I was surprised by your comment on the directions for answers. My childhood crystal went in circles and never sideways lines. It rotates towards the left in circles for Yes and towards the right for No. The circles start small and increase in speed and size with each rotation. 🙆 I have a pendulum story that's one of my favorite experiences I've had with all things metaphysical. It was my 16th birthday and I had a party with family. I had a plain cake and decided to put my favorite Pokemon figures on the cake to spruce it up (This was during the big pokemon craze of the 90s hehe). My cousins were around me when I put the toys on my cake and with in a few minutes we'd blown out the candles and I had removed the toys so the cutting could begin. I turned to look for my toys so I could put them away and immediately realized Meowth was missing. He was my favorite pokemon and the cutest in my set. I questioned everyone but no one saw it. There wasn't enough time between removing him and cutting the cake for him to have been moved as no one had left the table area so i was quickly becoming suspicious. I kept looking, kept asking and got no answers but inside I knew the answer. Now it's sad to say but i knew 2 of my younger cousins and they are awful thieves. When they're jealous (which was often) they would steal my toys and break them and hide the evidence in my house/their house so I was well aware that my toy was in their possession and on a chopping block. I finally announced I was going to devine out the location of my doll with my crystal pendulum. It was time to cut to the chase. LOL My pendulum was just a cheap fake crystal necklace i got in a coin machine for 25 cents but it was my beloved and most cherished belonging. I had a very deep connection and attachment to it. It's pretty much how I got into crystals. All my young guests (cousins and family friends) we're now excited to see me doing something "magical".. except one whom I suspected all along to be the thief. She was very quiet. I went to my room with everyone following me and made a show of getting out my pendulum and then drawing a map of my house. "This map of my house will let me know which room Meowth is in. From there I'll find out who has it..." I announced as I hovered my pendulum over the map. All my guests looming in around me to see. My suspect glued to my side now and still very quiet (she was never quiet LOL). I then asked "Where is my Meowth toy?" My pendulum slowly began to spin and before it completed a spin it RIPPED FROM MY FINGERS AND SLAMMED TO THE DESK. We all sat in shock for a millisecond as I looked at the location of the crystal, off my map, but noticed it seemed to be telling me "look where i am pointing." My eyes followed the direction of it's pointed end to see my Meowth toy on my desk sitting atop the junk of my pencil basket. Everyone was roaring with excitement though my suspect was just wide eyed and opened mouth. There was just no way that toy got to that basket unless someone quickly ditched him there in a hurry. She never admitted stealing it and I never called her out on it but my things never went missing again after. LOL Sorry the story was a little long.. 😅

I just picked up my first pendulum yesterday. I went through about 5 and kept circling back to the amethyst one. None of the others would move over my hand. When i had the amethyst i could actually FEEL the circles it was making on my hand (it wasnt touching obviously) lol. But i knew right then that was mine! Such a powerful connection!

When you say pendulums have their own character it's true. Sometimes it's surprising, one of mine just doesn't want to be used as a normal pendulum. After several questions, the conclusion was this pendulum came to me as an amulet and energy transmitter, and not as a pendulum. I now wear it as a necklace and I also charge/cleanse water and other crystals with it :)

There is no right way a pendulum works. You can take your pendulum and ask it, if it wants to show a yes and then a no (remember to say thank you in between questions, when It shows you an answer). Your pendulum can then go in circles or from left to right or whatever (some also shakes). There is no right way :) I have a pendulum that goes from left to right for a yes and in circles for a no. I believe my pendulum found me. I was in the bookstore on the religion/metaphysics aisle.. looking for nothing specific but just a book to get me some basic knowledge on witchcraft. I picked up the pendulum book/box but I put it back down. I kept browsing the area and the book fell. I immediately caught it and readjusted it back on the shelf… in a position where it for sure wouldn’t fall again!!! I kept looking around the area and moments later, it fell again. For those knocking When she says subconscious the other phrase for that will also be your “HigherSelf” which for most people communicates through their subconscious until your clear the blockages & open your soul star chakra to hear it through your crown consciously(so hearing yes or no instead). Because the HigherSelf has access to all information so to speak, it can get you the answer that your consciousness can pull from or receive from spirit but it just comes through subconscious because most of us humans have blockages that don’t allow clear communication with spirit(which our higherself is & you can literally hear it when you get to that point).

I found a few rocks in my backyard earlier today. Though I can't tell exactly what they are, some of them seem to have crystal material. I used the smallest one(which kind of looks like a smokey quartz) to make a pendulum by simply tieing a green colored string to it and I cleansed it with salt water. I'm quite proud of myself. I do my best to sit down with my pendulum every day, even if I don't have any questions. I try to transfer some energy into it by focusing and channeling my energy from my brain and heart through my hands and into the pendulum. I was at the beach and I found a purple shell that looked like a crystal and had the shape of a pendulum. I took it with me and when I got home it hit me right away and I said "I wanna carry this as a jewlery". So I grabbed some wire gauge and wrapped the shell, took a little chain and made myself a necklace. After I wore it for a while I wanted to give it a try and use it as a pendulum. It started giving me very accurate answers! Been using it ever since and I just really love it

The way I’ve always seen and used pendulums is it says yes or no by moving in a circle. So clockwise is no and counter clockwise is yes, then a left diagonal line is saying like “I don’t want to tell you” and right diagonal line is “I don’t know” but my spirit guides move the pendulum and talk to me through it so it’s not just my subconscious

A couple years back my brother gave me a stone necklace, I didn't know what it was at first, ai initially thought it was a fake crystal, but I wore it as often as i can and everyday now for sentimental value to remind me of my brother, we haven't seen each other for more than a year now, i never leave home without wearing it and feel kinda guilty idk why when iwear other necklaces aside from it. It makes me feel safe and secure. Only after research did i learn it was actually a real quartz crystal. Not a fake plastic or glass one. The best way I find and learned from a ex-nun witch (got married to one of the priests) they both went back to Wicca. You have to contact the crystal or metal and give it instruction. There is so mush bs about pendulums out there on line and on you tube regarding yes and no, and what’s being taught time and time again is clockwise and anti clockwise to signify yes or no which is completely misguided and incorrect. Love that the first thing you address is the yes and no and how it’s correctly expressed through the pendulum as up and down =yes and east to west = no. This is because universally it’s how we express yes/no through nodding or shaking our head.

I loved this, but a side note: not all pendulums work well in water,so maybe cleansing them in water would be a no-no. Not all crystals are water-compatible. I cleanse mine in moonlight and if they can handle the sun,then 24 hours on the window ledge. I LOVE the large crystal you have. Very beautiful !
