@@Gulliverbeefcake Hey there! You're so fortunate to be working with mustangs like you're doing! I've never done anything even close to something like this, but I do know that it takes deliberately building real trust and establishing a genuine personal relationship. Whenever I've had relationships of some kind with a person in another country and/or culture or a wild animal, or anything wild actually (even plants!) that may not be common or even unusual, I've found that there's a very unique bond with a sense of meaning and fulfillment that makes it so "special" in a way that's not possible with the daily relationships that we typically find ourselves in. I once had a terrific girlfriend who had a horse named Rocket who'd never had been ridden with a saddle. He'd only walked around the corral while someone sat on him. I would bring him a bag of apples. He'd see me and instantly go into a full gallop dead at me, come to a skidding halt 3' in front of me and I'd immediately give him an apple. It was hilarious and we really had something for each other. I also lived on a property and the landlord had a burro named Pedro. That guy was outright precious. I'd feed him apples and he would bray and run around letting me know how happy he was. That kind of happiness isn't found any other way and it's contagious. Couple of questions in closing here. 1) How did you come by a mustang in Virginia? And, 2) were you guys affected by the hurricane that went through the Eastern areas recently? Thanks for getting back to me (I'm kinda jealous of you!). ✨♥️👋🥴👍✨

@@Da_XmanThe BLM program hands them out like candy. But this one was just left on the property when I moved in.
