I'm a little confused. Do you get your bachelors in cardiac perfusion, or do you get your bachelors and then go to perfusion school? Is it 4 years or school or 6?

usually a perfusion degree is 2 years, but some are 1 year. A bachelor's is usually required in a related field, I think.

Jon Taylor ... you need a 4yr degree first, and get a 2 year Masters degree in cardiovascular perfusion. Total of 6 years.

You have to get your American Board Certification through an accredited program. Usually 2 year course. Masters Degree. Job prospects for the next 5 years is great

Bahaha no way! I shadowed several perfusion cases and there is too much communication between the surgeon and perfusionist and the anesthesiologist and perfusionist to go AI. Also a perfusionist builds the circuit for each case differently so?
