I'm a construction worker. This is how it is. Not enough planned, not clear, blame down, blame down.

This short film and what it is about, is pure reality - no fiction. And even so that film is pure gold, it is a sad truth behind it. Speaking so, it makes me feel uncomfortable and angry to watch this.

As someone who worked way to long with a micromanager who didn't even have a clear vison of exactly what the end product, she wanted was... I feel this guy... accurate.

Saw this in a large broadcasting organisation. A producer made a well thought out program, his boss (who by the way notoriously liked to reduce female inferiors to tears) insisted on changes - and again- and again- and again- until finally it ended up as it was to start with. But then, he was a Manager.

Why is it that this falls into every corner of the working work? Why is there such a detachment from upper management and the tires touching the pavement?

He has an Irrational Fear of Oblongs, not Rectangles mind you, just Oblongs. The term Oblong is used to refer to a non-square Rectangle. ... A Rectangle can be defined as a Parallelogram containing a Right Angle. A Rectangle with four sides of equal length is a Square. Thus an Oblong is a special case of an antiparallelogram and its angles are not Right Angles. In geometry, an antiparallelogram is a Quadrilateral having, like a Parallelogram, two opposite pairs of equal-length sides, but in which the sides of one pair cross each other. The longer of the two pairs will always be the one that crosses. Antiparallelograms are also called contraparallelograms or crossed parallelograms. An antiparallelogram is a special case of a crossed quadrilateral, which has generally unequal edges. A special form of the antiparallelogram is a crossed Rectangle, in which two opposite edges are parallel.

If you were a hired hand or a contractor, wouldn't that kind of back-and-forth be a cash cow? It's only a problem if you're a salaried employee, in which case all your effort gets wasted on things other than what what build a good track record.

@andrewhancock24515 ай бұрын
@@franzfrunzner4086 Agreed. That doesn't seem like the kind of employment arrangement here. It may be a journey of discovery, but that kind of situation calls for a change in employment. If such opportunities can't be found on the employment market, it might not be a viable form of paid employment. Whether it can be pursued as a personal endeavour is an open question.

This film sounds classist, which is class prejudice. It panders to the primal energy of its viewers who may have preconceived notions, or prejudices, of those from other classes. The "working class' is not necessarily harder working than the upper classes or vice versa. As important, in this 21st century, "hard work" is not always as important as "smart work." One persin once rightly informed me, "If you work smart, you may not have to work so hard."
