I was just about to ask about fully rounding the edges ... then you explained! So simple and with no mods to the bench itself. And immediately adaptable to different bases for different tools & needs. My mini-grinder is already on a base but I might have to do it again this way.

Richard thank you for you kind comments. I did make mods to my bench though. The center panel did not have holes for bench dogs. Why B&D opted not to have them in this model of the 425 I don't know. But adding them certainly makes the bench more versatile. Please subscribe to my channel as more videos are coming. Have a great day!

What I prefer to do is to mount the tool to the plywood as you have done but also add a spline and two runners to the bottom of the plywood. The spline is clamped with the workmate and the runners are spaced far enough apart to clear the top of the workmate. This allows the tool and plywood to also be used on any flat surface.

A follow-up to richardstewart6900 from 2 years ago. What did you use (router bit shape?) to create the edges that so perfectly fit the 425 dogs? I got my 425 to use a chop saw out in the driveway so I don't have to pull the cars out of the garage. Thanks in advance.

@phoenixPhil37 the workmates are useful aren't they? Thanks for your comments.
