Produced in the style of a TV science show, this hearing safety video uses vintage films, animation, and demonstrations to explain how your ears work and the effects of hazardous levels of noise on your hearing. It also demonstrates how to choose the right hearing protection and its proper use and maintenance.
You’ll learn about noise-induced hearing loss prevention and how to choose the appropriate hearing protection for your job. This video shows you how to tell when workplace noise is hazardous, and how hearing loss can affect communication.

One of best, if not the best video that I have ever seen talking about hearing conservation. It simplifies things without compromising the essential elements of hearing conservation!

They should design headphones with auto volume adjustment to especially protect those with hearing loss. That way, they can avoid exceeding 85 dB and still hear well. There are hearing aids with dynamic range compression. Using headphones at safe levels may be easier said than done if a person already has hearing loss. If a music that normally ranges from 0 to 70 dB is increased by 30 dB linearly to compensate for 30 dB of hearing loss, its new range becomes 30 to 100 dB which may cause further hearing loss. If they do DRC, its new range may become 30 to 70 dB by amplifying the quieter sounds more than the louder sounds, allowing them to hear clearly while protecting their hearing.

I always offer earplugs to people around me when I'm making noise or tell them to move away but 99% of the time they refuse or just laugh at me 🙈 things like this should be taught in schools at a young age and throughout childhood. I used to do many things like a melting lead and being around noisy things when I was a child and nobody told me anything was bad because they didn't know any better ☹️ This Christmas I visited my sister and her 4yr old child was staring into a laser light show device... they didn't look at the instructions and assumed that a consumer product would be safe for children. Lots of people don't understand dangers right in front of us
