His "unique redemptive mediation" is his priestly mediation. But he also has other mediatory works. Prophet and King. Jesus as The Prophet and as The King: these are often overlooked. The Spirit of Christ, which btw is also called "The Spirit of the Father" (Mat10) is the one speaking in a person "teaching all things whatsoever [he has] commanded." This is how he mediates in teaching and preaching. (Matt 28:20 > < Mark 16:15)

I would to sit in front of John Piper as a preacher. But to have John going thru my sermon would scare me.

Then you're worried about how you're 'measuring up'. You don't need to be nervous about having your sermon scrutinized by any man, since they're all only men, whose work will be scrutinized like yours, by the only judge that truly matters, God. We do not measure up to the only standard that matters, Jesus Christ.

At 6:40 you mention that a man who has spent time in the scriptures and is anointed by God see's things that they can convey to others. (Not exactly your words) Why then is it not the normal situation for all who are in Christ to receive these same things from God to share with all others instead of the one in control of a pulpit?
