After five months of building and preparing the Jeep XJ for its maiden voyage through Europe up to Northern Scandinavia the trip has finally begun. We have packed up all our worldly possessions and left the UK to find a new home in Sweden. We estimate that we will be living in the Jeep XJ for 4 to 5 months and hopefully It will take us to some truly stunning locations the further into the wilderness we go. In this video we arrive in Norway and begin our journey through its wild landscape camping in some stunning locations in the wilderness. Thanks for watching! I had my Tepui Foothill tent blow over like that before too. Definitely something people need to be aware off. I keep a ratchet strap onboard just for this scenario 👍🏻

It's a trip seeing a car that I see all the time in the US having RHD. Love your XJ!
@Globbs3 жыл бұрын
You see them around the US fairly frequently since there were many produced as rhd mail vehicles.

Any news on the Fig tree? Did it survive?
@WorkshoptoWilderness2 жыл бұрын
Sadly not. It died when the winter rolled in. I think that old house was too cold for it.

Hi Mike and Megan, seen this video makes me hungry to get visite this part off our Globe! Mike about the tire pressure how do we knew what the best pressure is? can you give us a Hint? Thanks Cor from france
@WorkshoptoWilderness3 жыл бұрын
Hey Cor, it's a beautiful part of the world just very expensive for food. I think it all depends on what your driving on and also the weight of your vehicle. I use from 30psi to as low as 5psi in deep snow where I need to float. You can always start at 25, it's a good all round pressure for gravel roads and also poor traction surfaces. Then perhaps lower it more if your not getting anywhere

Does Renault make that engine diesel engine? Does it have an ECM?
@WorkshoptoWilderness5 жыл бұрын
VM Motori Make it. Its a very basic agricultural engine and it has an ECM. Fortunately the ECM is simple and cheap, I have a spare one and they are plug and play, but never heard of one dying yet. Thanks for watching,

What size lift and tires are you runing
@WorkshoptoWilderness5 жыл бұрын
I'm using around 6.5" lift with 32x11.50R15. I will probably go to 33 once I swap the rear axle but the lift wont change as its already a bit too high.
@joshdoinggood81175 жыл бұрын
Ok thanks man appreciate it app
@RB-rl7kv5 жыл бұрын
What's the story on the diesel engine? Did it come that way or have you swapped it in? Also, it seems tall for the tyre size you're running. Why is that?
