I LOVE this concept, although the setup of saving a session seems a bit too cumbersome to actually save me time. Whereas now I have a headache when resuming a project (like a video I was working on 2 weeks ago), with Workspaces I'm afraid I'd just shift that hassle to the beginning of my project during setup, which I don't look forward to because navigating Finder is not fun. Why not just save work sessions at a given point in time so that they can be reopened later? Think about how the Mac reopens all of your windows and apps after a restart. I was hoping Workspaces would help me preserve and restore work sessions, which are essentially combinations of open apps, windows and files. The easiest way to describe what I'm looking for is the Session Buddy Chrome extension... but for the entire Mac system. I'm only writing this because I'm frothing at the mouth for what Workspaces could turn into, but I already know that I won't be able to benefit from the current version because of how many steps it takes to save a session.

exactly what I'm looking for too...right now using Moom which helps arrange a desktop once I have the apps open - thinking that a combo of this + Moom might do it?

Exactly what I’m looking for as well! The ability to save an ongoing workspace (or even have like version control) would be very handy

FWIW: There are some enhancements in this regard (adding running apps, elements from running apps (files/folders), and adding browser tabs). The new plugins feature seems like it'll allow expanding this set of capabilities over time. See kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWTFi3uMnb6jj9E

Hi, I love the whole idea of this app and I think its very unique. I wish there was a bit more to it though if you can hear me out. - I wish there was alignment for each line of text option so that I can center the text or do left>right or right>left writing style. Since I use Arabic language also, it is weird to right from left to right. Arabic is the opposite direction. It does also looks weird when using To-do list with Arabic. - It would have been much quicker if the (Aa) formatting options were icons to pick what I want at a glance rather than having to read which option I want to pick. Brain identify shapes faster than written text. - Now this one is a stretch but I think it would transform this app into something bigger. What if I there was an option to set a date and a title for a specific note. Then integrate it with a calendar in the menubar. Clicking the calendar would show upcoming dates for the notes. Clicking on the upcoming note would also take me to that note to read whats inside of it or modify it. - Final one I promise... But overtime if I keep writing notes and specially long notes, I will end up with plenty to scroll through. Wouldn't it be better if each note had like an arrow to expand/fold the note similar to how KZbin description section work where I can expand it reveal everything or fold it? Thank you for reading ❤

Very nice, but it needs to have an option to open apps and files on different desktops.

Unfortunately, it's impossible due to limits in the system API

@@Apptorium Is the work around to manually go into each desktop and then trigger "Workspaces" then jump to next desktop and do again? Would you have to wait for each desktop to finish loading before moving to the next or could you quickly jump thru all desktops, kick off "Workspaces" then go get a up of tea while it does its thing?

Nice. Too bad app windows don't recall their positions. Maybe I could get it working with LayAuto or Better Window Manager.

Or Moom? I'm thinking this app + Moom may effectively let me shut all apps from workspaces and let me open them all again ready to recommence work?
