I met this guy at an accordion convention in Leavenworth when I was 17 or 18. I was in awe because I watched his videos when I was 11 or 12 and just barely getting interested in the accordion so getting to meet him was amazing

The Les Paul and Mary Ford of the accordian and keyboard! The accordian really is such a great instrument. It even lends itself to middle eastern styles. This guy's playing really is amazing. I love it. As Nahre pointed out there's so much there we keyboardists can use to liven up our playing and strengthen our phrasing.

Well Aimee (actually Aimée in French) you have just spent some time with the craziest accordionist on the planet. They don't come more nuts than this. I'm saying this with plenty of affection. Cory is certainly a virtuoso, but he's also very versatile- he's more than proven it here. He must have been something of a child prodigy. However, the accordion (my instrument for the past 56 years!) does have quite a few facets. There are hundreds, if not several thousand serious classical accordionists all across the world, because there's a massive revival. There are also quite a few very good modern players, including some who specialise in Jazz. Here where I live in France we have a world famous Jazz, and "New Mustte" accordionist called Richard Galliano, who has been doing world tours for the last 40+ years. There were (a long time ago) two giants in America: Art Van Damme and Tommy Gumina, then came Franc Marocco. Cory will know of all of these. Personally, I'm not fond of these electronic instruments; they came out in the seventies, and a bit of the eighties. The high end classical instruments today can fetch up to 40,000€- that's something bordering on 50,000$ US! It's played in nearly every country in the world, so you can imagine the number of styles, repertoire, and genres. So, your life has just been enriched by meeting the crazy guy, eh? Hilarious fun! Does the bellows do much of anything on that accordion, or is more it a way for a keyboardist to play right hand only while replacing a P bass with the left? Okay, I see it now. Bellows can drive it, and it has drum pads too.

Absolutely. The original 1950’s / 60’s / 70’s electric accordion were using bellows was Only fit the accordion reeds. This is totally reedless, and everything is effected by the bellows. Amplifying why the accordion is the Greatest instrument haha

You would Hate most of my playing if you think That was too many notes haha. like I say in the video, I prefer to play 1,000,000 miles an hour, or a slow balance, the medium stuff does not interest me that much.
